It was good. But if I am honest though, the best scenes were thing that weren't even a "date" at all, when they just take a regular walk home and pick up some crepes along the way.
It was that subtle sharpness that she had that knocked Shirou for a loop, and KO'd him by having her junior do that couple selfie.
Some of the best scenes are just them hanging out together.

No argument about that, but I love the castle date more, firstly Illya is great in it, her inital reaction to shirou asking her about having dinner there was golden, even more so with the voices. Then there's just how good they look in those getups, that dress she wears is amazing. And Shirou looks great in a tux. Every time I read the scene I come out feeling completely content.
