Been meaning to start Hooker, gonna have to get on that sometime soon.
Zelazny's Amber series. Why do so many authors seem to pass away with work unfinished?
Fun fact: The Chronicles of Amber were actually some of my first books, and were the books to get me hooked into fantasy.
Hope Rides With His Godly Ronin/Cowboy Brother In Law
Because the sort of people who spend their time dreaming such things are often those who have difficulty doing them. The mind is the plaything of the body, but if the body won't play, then the mind must amuse itself. Writing, in a sense, is a way for the dreamer, to those who are frail of constitution to take to the skies. It is these flights of fancy tht lift us up, but it is important to rememeber that is the very infirmity of the authors that often leads them to write in the first place.

Just read A Clash of Kings on the 15-hour plane ride home. I am liking this series (a Song of Ice and Fire) more and more.

I know what you mean, pal. They're really addicting.
The series that hooked me into reading was Harry Potter- I was seven when I got the first book.
A whole world away from Fuyuki, in a city of mages, a new War threatens to break out. Seven new Masters are chosen and enter a life-changing battle, unknowingly becoming part of a War in which there are more players than the eyes can see...
Spice & Wolf manga volume 1, huzzah. Rereading it, actually. This series has amazing rereading potential.
Why the manga? Pick up the novel, it's got about 5 manga volumes' worth, and it's cheaper.

Baka-Tsuki took it down, my Japanese isn't quite good enough to read it raw, since I'd have to look up kanji every other minute, and they've never even heard of light novels where I live, hell I just recently found a bookstore where they sell graphic novels and it's probably the only one of it's kind in the country, so I'd have to ask someone to go bu it for me in the U.S. and no one I know there is flying down anytime soon, so...
Can't have it delivered from an online store?

Well, I'm currently reading crossover Type-Moon fan fiction, just not sure if the stuff's any good or not.
Which ones, I wonder.

Actually, that's a good question. I mean, I've been trying to find good Type-MOON stuff to read, but it's hard for me to really know what's good and what isn't, if you know what I mean.
Well, I'm currently waiting for a story challenge I issued someone to get done with the first chapter, so that I can read it all the way from the beginning of his first chapter to the end.
As it stands, I am curious if I wrote something accurately, which is still a problem for me. In the What if Shirou was raised by ...? thread, I wrote a snippet for what if Shirou were raised by someone from a universe that's not known for fan fiction, and I need to know if it was accurate. The universe is the one in Anima: Beyond Fantasy.
