Oooh, no wonder. That settings kind of hard to find stuff for. I barely know anything about the game, despite it being around for several years now. That is a challenge.

I even know of a member of this site that had knowledge on the franchise, Ergast, but he isn't here that often.

I might have to stick with an Italian friend for the knowledge at this rate.

I know what you mean. A couple friends of mine were big fans of this old Sci-fi RPG that I can't even remember the name of now, and I don't know many people who've heard of things like Dawnforge, Midnight, or Masque of the Red Death.

Obscure games can be fun, but it's hard to find players.

That is true. However, the funny thing is that said game is being translated into English on a year-per-book basis, as it's also being released in Spain at the same rate.

Still, I need to ensure that I get the Anima characters right, and the levels for the Fate characters need to be correct as well.

Dem some big books to translate, and a lot of nice art to drool over, but man, that's slow. Or at least seems that way to me. Then again, I'm used to Wizards churning out like, four books a month.

Ah, another WotC fan is here. I know the pain of having to wait a long time, it's just fortunate for me that I got the first three products in the RPG line-up close together in the same year... I think it was this past year before the most recent release of one of the RPG books.

Then there's the fact that I have to figure out how the characters already established are supposed to fit and such. That in itself is a pain in the ass.

Harsh. Makes it sound like they never bothered with a setting rulebook.

Hmmm. Wonder if there's a fanslation out there?

Well, they have a setting book in English, but it's only one half of the world predominantly full of humans. It's called Gaia: Beyond the Dreams volume 1.

Frustrating as it is, I'm actually glad I have more of a clue to what's going on, so I'll have to be patient for now. Though the fan translation would be fun to find if it exists.

I feel like doing a campaign book like that is some form of crime against humanity, falling under the Anti-troll laws.

In all seriousness, I'm positive the decisions for what goes in or out are determined by the staff over in Spain, and I think they have a lot of ground to cover for the whole thing.

True. But no, I meant not giving a general idea of the whole world's status in the campaign book, and instead covering only one hemisphere... Unless I misunderstood what you meant.

No, you got that right, but, then again, they also have to deal with Hell (the continents of the non-humans). That is going to take a long time to get through.

Also, they gave a general idea in the Core Rulebook they released in English (which I'm certain was for the first edition book that they didn't release in English as well), it just had three cities to draw upon for info, but it listed all the Principalities, which was the plus side of the whole thing.

Seems like a strange arrangement to me. Ordinarily, you'd publish all of the core books at once, and then add the other stuff as was needed according to demand.

Well, they covered a lot of information in the first book, released some more stuff, released a revised version of the first book (which is the English Core Rulebook), and continued to release all the necessary info in the subsequent books. Note that they expand upon info they mention in the Core Book within the other materials, including Dominus Exxet, the book that further clarified Ki.

I see what they're doing, at least from a sales perspective, but stringing things out like that will net them a lot of disgruntled readers. That kind of thing is designed to force you to buy each new book as it comes out because it could fundamentally redefine your own campaign.

If the rules suddenly change like that, it can make canon-focused stories into huge messes.

Hmm... I guess I can see where you're getting at.

By the way, they also have journals for the PCs that are a part of the story, that actually act as the player's journal. They have one for each gender, and it's probably that good, so I'll be sure to buy a couple copies each.

True. I suppose right now I'm just reading First Lord's Fury. Finished Spice and Wolf 4, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a section that had been cut from the anime.

I found it quite nice, really.

Hah, I've got those on the desk right next to me - looking to get Dominus Exxet in the near future, too. The Miniatures Game book can be helpful in that it gives a ton of background info for key NPCs and whatnot. *shrugs*

Err... you wouldn't happen to mind looking over a snippet of mine, would you? I mean, I need to know if I got a couple of the Anima characters right, as well as figure out levels for the different Servants, if you can understand what I mean.
