With the global creature buff the damage going off the stack isn't too bad. I mean really, creatures with selfsac abilities or creature sac engines now actually involve strategic choice instead of just going for lulzy mutual kills AND reaping the benefits. Those of you who play sealed or draft know how retarded that can get sometimes.

I was skeptical at first but after seeing it in practice I am alright with it.

    It stopped half of my Astral Slide control shenanigans. ;_;

But most of my friends still play by the old rules anyway, so.

One day I will stop fapping to control player tears.
But that day is not today.

You are only safe in Type 2.

Crap, I just realized. The new legend rule means that I'll sooner or later end up in an Avacyn vs Avacyn duel with my Angel deck.

    Dammit, that'll never end.

Also aggro has always been great in Magic. There was U/G Madness, Goblins, Affinity, Gruul, Mono Red, etc.

It's been a fairly even balance wise across the board.

No yeah, that seems like a reasonable change. Simplifies things.

Added mtg2013 to wishlist for next steam sale, might be funsies.

    It's like 10$ right now. That's 1/12th of a Tarmogoyf!

Eh I'm not saying that it ever was SUPER TERRIBLE for aggro players (maybe during Drangonstormmania but even then we had Zoo with god-ape of anal destruction) but the disconnect in power between creatures and literally any other card type was there. Okay maybe not auras but lolauras.

+ all the dlc which I would buy because I always buy all the dlc and it's like 35 bucks. Which isn't very much actually.

What is "stack"? That's a completely new term. "Mana burn" I have heard thrown around but never got a clear cut explanation.

Be careful with the DLC. There are foil conversions included in there which just make your virtual cards shiny and card unlocks which unlock cards...you can unlock through regular gameplay.

The only thing I really want from Modern Masters is four Angel's Grace for my Angel deck.

I mean, don't get me wrong, those are great cards. But I don't intend to ever be in a Modern Tournament, so...

Well, if I got a Tarmogoyf I guess I could sell it a buy a bunch more Modern Masters boosters.

    oh boy

Yeah usually casual players don't even use it. Basically before your creature/instant/sorcery card enters play/resolves it goes into a zone called the "stack" where it is not an creature/instant/sorcery but a creature spell/instant spell/sorcery spell. It allows the other player to go OBJECTION on your shit with his instants or activated abilities, since the golden rule of the stack is Last In First Out.

There are 10 or so total decks with the game. Playing and winning matches lets you unlock various cards from the decks that can customize it.

You can just pay $1 to outright unlock all the cards associated with a deck.

But there are also extra DLC decks you can buy that are not with the game.

Mana Burn is a now obsolete rule where any mana you had left by the end of a phase was dealt to you as damage.

Stack is the equivalent of a chain in Yu-Gi-Oh!, put simply. Last In, First Out, effects go there and some decks mess with it.
