All melded creatures should be 20/20 or bigger kaiju. It doesn't make sense that Emrakul takes up only one card and the rat monster takes up two. See, that was one thing that the BFM got right.

By being too cautious they sabotaged their own idea - they should have made the marquee card, Emrakul herself, a melded monstrosity. Even if it were the only one in the set.

Kind of a shame you have to do so much work to make its ability worthwhile. Unless/until an opponent had thirteen points of damage that you couldn't mitigate, Tree of Redemption was always potentially good. With this, it's basically useless as soon as your opponent's below thirteen, unless you're literally running Triskaideka.

Tragic Slip wouldn't work because it wouldn't be on the battlefield by the time its ability resolved so you couldn't exchange life for its toughness.
