i hate the fact that the more they are top quality, the more disappointed i am for accidentally skipping due to pressing X to open doors or ambush enemies

the skits showing when i tend to run to enemies and cannot concentrate on the text doesnt help

More thoughts will probably come as I digest, but a note on the antagonists:

I think I like Shido and Akechi as villains a bit more than Adachi, but between playing P4 and watching the endurance run like, 4-5 times and all the spinoff shit that's hard to say because I'm just so used to Adachi. At least there's no chance of these two getting utterly unearned redemptions in spinoffs. Also Akechi's RANK UP reveal is really fucking funny, even moreso than Adachi's creeper faces.

The demiurge, however, is crap. Like, hot trash, worse even than Izanami. There's at least SPRINKLINGS of Izanami in places throughout P4 even if she mostly just jams herself in at the end, but he kind of just jams himself in at the last second onto a story that already ended, and ON TOP OF THAT, his story and Igor's is literally just a copy-paste of Philemon and Nyarlathotep. He's not even that great of a boss experience. His final form looks cool, but has an utterly forgettable theme, and his base form just reuses Rivers while not being as neat looking as Shido's forms. The whole fake Igor thing is a neat trick, even if it's one I suspected, but the dude himself is just a wet fart of an enemy. Even Satanael, while fucking cool as hell, is just a Gnosticism version of Izanami-no-Okami's summoning. Blurgh.

Really cool game but boy that last bit's lame. ON THE OTHER HAND, I like the actual gameplay enough that for the first time I'm actually going to do New Game+ and go for the bonus boss. Which I assume is the Twins, unless it's their true form and you can't fight her until the endgame I guess. Need to look into that. I also never fought the Reaper (or saw him) come to think of it.

Ann's SL is pretty bland, especially compared to her role in the early game. I never bothered with doing Makoto beyond getting Baton Pass (same with Yusuke) and I only did one level of Haru's. I really wouldn't want to date Haru though. Not as off-limits as Futaba but still.

I do like Ann though.
