Kawakami becomes so lovely once you've freed her from her shackles that are those two exploitative bastards. Ohya's just cool. Chihaya... well, no. Tae gives you that snarky, yet kind vibe.
On the other hand, Futaba is basically Nanako to me, Ann and Makoto are okay but not really my type, and Haru is so sweet that I just can't handle being anything more than friends.

I'm on 10/26 and have a question for those who've done NG+. Does the benefits of Leveling up Confidants stick on the new file? Like maxing out Ryuuji in the first playthrough mean he starts the game with his Second Awakening?

That seems really quick. It took me 98 hours on my first run and I didn't max out everybody's Confidants. Did you skip a lot of stuff?

So, is there any reason behind all the shortcuts in the dungeons? I mean it's really cool to be able to double back to the entrance so easily, but it's kind of pointless when you can just warp to the safe room right next to the treasure. Is that something you can't do on higher diffuculties, or did they originally plan a Dark Souls style run to the boss and scrap it before the game came out?

Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
As I understand it it's an optional story integration. Even though the game lets you warp, in story the thieves sneak to each safe room during the loading scene. The entire point of the infiltration is securing an easy route to the treasure. So while you don't have to unlock the easiest point A to B from entrance to treasure, and the game doesn't not force you to do so, in character it would be expected.
Plus us on a more pragmatic note there might be a locked chest you didn't have a key to open that you later made one for, and it's easier to just walk through the now opened back door to crack it open as opposed to slog through the enemy and trap filled frontway.
Maybe I'll try doing that on my NG+.
I guess that makes sense for people who don't have the dungeon looted to the bedrock the first run through.
