This is Mot
Playing P3 FES now.
Well... that totally wasn't a depressing opening cutscene...
And this totally isn't a depressing dormitory...
Also the chairman looks like he could be Junpei's dad.

Oh hi Igor...
Guess if I had played the other Persona games before 5 I would've known something was up.

Oh shit I forgot. I don't like his design so he was a whatever to me in Persona
Spoiler:

You mean about Igor?

Reached 5F and its "boss fight"... (it did have a different theme)
Then Junpei got tired, so I left Tartaros.
I have absolutely no idea if this is a good pace since Tartaros seems to be the one dungeon of the game.
I'm thinking I'll hit the barricade sometime between now and the next full moon. Then the plot will advance... I think...

Tartarus is basically identical to Mementos except it goes up instead of down. You want to reach the barricades before the full moons, yes. Because I don't think it's a spoiler to say you'll fight the final boss at the very tippity top, and that means if you skip out on Tartarus you'll have to marathon it in one go on the last day.

In general, the full moon Shadows aren't too hard to deal with barring one or two. The tower guardians are where the real challenge lies.
The ones that I think are most infamous are Sleeping Table, Natural Dancer, and World Balance.
So it's like a P5 situation. The dungeon won't have much story signigicance until the very end of the gane.
This 14F boss though... and his Mazio attack that fucks my party up...
What's the chance of my party members getting tired if I split up on the bottom floors for xp? Cuz I'd really like not to waste too many days on Tartarus.

Also...
I feel kinda insulted.

Mot is there to remind you to always have elemental spells to target weakness's,or else you get fucked.
Thats why he spams beast eye if you take to long.Cuz by the time players reach him they hit their stride with Megidolaons or Deathbound and thats just gonna get them screwed against the final dungeons second boss.
Huh... blood everywhere... creepy.
Well at least Thebel is out of the way with 13 days to spare. Still at level 5 tho... tbh I was expecting more xp from that guardian... didn't even level up...

So, I (incredibly improbably) found a retail copy of Persona Q2 in my local retailer and naturally snagged it immediately. I never got a chance to try Persona Q 1 back when it came out (not having a DS at the time) and I'll probably never get to play P5 either, so I'm looking forward to it.

Elizabeth's pretty fun when you take her around
I'm having way too much fun with her.

I guess she did end up having her wish of turning Velvet Room into a club, now that Dancing Moon Night is a thing.

And the dates with her don't consume time.

And, like a week and change later, I finally got around to playing the game. This being the first time I didn't have to contend with ATLUS' stupid enforced dub, the experience of listening to this literally all star cast of VA's would be worth the money alone. Elizabeth in particular stands out with Miyuki Sawashiro going full ham cloudcuckoolander mode. Not far enough in to comment on the plot (other than that it follows mainly the Persona 5 cast, as newcomers, and the only one of the series I haven't played) but the gameplay's not too bad- it's old school right down to making you draw your own map, but it flows well and the grinding isn't too intense so far.
