Adachi is a rookie who because of a fuck up had to take the job down in inaba, and fairly recently. So he is an FNG with a big black eye. I wouldn’t expect him to act in anyway else

Yea I'm playing vanilla P4. I do want to try Golden someday... but I really wanted to at least get the basic gist of P4 before P5R rolls around.

Didn't the Golden anime also implied more that Adachi must have messed up something serious at his prior position and location before Inaba? IIRC, he was a city cop and more or less got reassigned as punishment for something?

Yeah, he never specifies what exactly got him booted to the sticks but chances are he downplayed the issue.
I was starting to suspect Adachi but then Rise got captured literally as he was bullying that peeping tom with the main cast so that's a pretty strong aliby.
I don't know what exactly he's gonna do but I do know he becomes important to the plot... I kinda like trying to guess what his role is gonna be exactly.
As for Rise's dungeon... I liked the plot...
