tbh that's just what some people (god love them) do when they want to do a little Trolling, but aren't clever enough to think of something that'll actually get people upset. If being stupid is a mental illness, then sure, I agree, he's mentally ill.

But I think a far more simple explanation to what you're proposing is that he did, at one point, like the other fate entries, exactly as he claimed he did before his prolonged absence.

Considering his track record otherwise, I would argue that he's just an uncreative (or particularly obsessed?) troll, especially given the "let the hate come", which is almost like a signature of his in many places. His narrative changed over time not because of some sort of private revelation but because he figured it was the most likely way to get the results he wanted in a forum that (one would assume, coming in from the outside) likes Fate products. I do like the idea that he liked that stuff genuinely and then Nasu broke into his house and broke his kneecaps though.

This is not all he posts online. His Reddit account has several other interesting posts, including a reply consisting of the sentence "Boo fucking hoo faggot man up you fucking emo pussy stop being whiny bitch kill yourself like the fucking coward you are and burn in hell and get fuckrd by satan in the asshole" to a thread in r/SuicideWatch made by a suicidal person. His comment history before going on the Fate/Zero rampage, however, was 'normal', if still written in his characteristic, all lower-case, stream of thought style. So I think this guy is just trying to get a reaction out of people, but is so incredibly bad at it that it becomes (unintentionally?) funny.
