22R was good, recentering on Touma was a good choice. I feel like Touma got shaken back and forth but generally remained the same, and on the flipside you've got the extremely changed Accelerator. Now I want to reread the older volumes to clear up the fog in my memories.

I'm not complaining, I dropped off Index on hard but I always still held a candle for Railgun. Everything to do with the Science side was so much more interesting and engaging than the Magic side.
That said, Orsola is top bae. <3

To be fair, that's a very recent development, as in we only learn of it last month.
Can't say I have ever had this attitude, both sides can have good, boring, or just plain bad stories, though the magic side in the novels right now is on some crazy shit.
Then again I wasn't introduced to the series by the anime adaptations, which seem to be the main reasons for developing opinion on either Railgun or Index I've found due to the quality of their respective adaptation.

So js06 translated some interesting tweets by Fuyukawa Motoi: apparently, originally Railgun chapter 43 (what Railgun T episode 1 adapted) was an original idea invented by Fuyukawa and his editor to buy time for Fuyukawa so he got an extra month to fully prepare for the Daihaseisai arc.
Also, Gunha was not in Kamachi's original plan for the arc, but due to his presence in this invented chapter, his role grew in prominence and he got involved in the late stage of the arc.

Not to mention the R&C name that doesn’t even try to hide it. Although that uses the English spelling. I imagine a lot of people saw it coming from the moment they saw the Table of Contents.
This was a wild ride of a volume, it felt like NT1 2.0., but an upgrade that improved upon it.
