we got narrator saying that this event is just a bit after we summoned cu alter
first we got explanation from various servants in a flashback style of what alters are
SN cu silhouette explains that alters are "different side", and then he gave an example how even virtuous HS got an bloodbath episode/anecdote
alters are what you get if the "side" of these anecdotes takes the main spot.
we got gilles saber silhoutte saying that his future, caster, massmurderer side is still part of him and so he cant ignore him, so i guess its technically alter too? dunno
cue in to us and cu alter in a singularity. apparently something happened that screws up the singularity.
we got separated from mashu. cue in battle.
after that romani manages to make connection. he said we have 2 options, to forcibly reishift back which is optimal in result but also has danger for guda, or to join with mashu and reishift like normal (idunno why we need to join with mashu to do that, probably because her shield is the connection to chaldea?) but itll take about 48 hours to meet up with her
another flashback of sn cu silhoutte saying that cu alter isnt your usual alter, with him being medb creation pasted on cu as the base. he said cu alter is something that possible because human order is unstable. he also said normally he got a berserker form too, but different from cu alter, and this berserker form of his would be the world's "no good" form. not explained why, but hyping up for proper zerker cu anyway.
cue in night scene. cu alter said he scouted around and we got no enemies. guda said thank you. cu said stop saying thankies on small things, this is how a servant and master relationship should be. Then something2 while he was born out of ill will and weird circumstances he is still at the core cu chulainn. he will kill his enemies and protect his allies. different story if he is with his celt buddies; in that situation they will kill each other at the time when they have to kill each other, be they friend or foe. but cu alter doesnt love chaos so much that he will force that on others.
he then asks why we take the long route. i picked the option "well i dont want to die" (from immediate reishift failing, presumably). cu alter said it makes sense, if we died here then there will be no one to restore human order, with us being the very last human master. but then he asks if we understand that we are alone in the singularity, for at least 36 hours more, with no allies and no one by our side.
both dialogue options is basically one sentence : "well im not really alone"
cu: "...I see."
guda says understand. and then cu says to get some sleep, he will keep watch.
another flashback. SN cu responds to our question of whether or not we will get betrayed. he cant say for sure, because zerker being zerker are weird in the head.
cue in morning scene. cu said to prepare water and food from the forest we are camping in, because we got a long road ahead.
then romani called in and gave bad news, in our path we got a shitload of monsters. like, a shitload amount of it. we can avoid them and reroute, but the 48 hours will become 200 hours instead. well thats not an option for us, we'll be dead for that long. cu then said its simple, we'll just beat them all. romani said dont be unreasonable, putting the matters of whether or not thats possible its too dangerous for us. cu said thats make sense, so we should stay back, while he go and fight them all alone. romani objects, but cu said there arent really any other options here.
cu then left us in a deserted village background CG, telling us to forage for food and water while he take down the enemies armies. we object, but he said dont be an idiot, we wil just drag him down by being easy target.
cue in flashback. SN cu said in the end, he dont think cu alter will ebtray us. Indeed in a normal grail war most masters are just mages who only see servants as no more than a familiar, which usually ended up ugly for the pair. there are HS who would just endure that treatment, there are also HS who would cross the line from that treatment. Cu alter is the opposite. He himself sees master-servant relationship as just that: a tool and its user. If the master is in danger, he will throw his own body to protect him. Not out of affection, simply because that is his duty as a servant.
cue in GAE BOLG wiping out about 30 percent of the monster army. romani said its amazing, even if its antiarmy, to think that it could take out 30 percent. cu alter corrects him, saying that its ONLY 30 percemt. there's still 70% remaining, so you cant really call it a success. ROmani said it cant be helped, cu is fighting as a one man army against a literal army. cu said "Heh. Just the usual business." ROmani acknowledged that, saying that Cu in the legend did take on Medb's army on his own, but also points out that he is now a servant. he needs maryoku to materialize, he needs anchor to exist. both the very least qualifications for a master to provide. cu alter then asks what else is there for a master to do. cue in us joining cu in the battle. I dont really get how we do it, because ROmani referenced us overcoming London for some reason and said this much is ok for a us. anyway romani then said fight and beat them together!
cu confirmed we are good for now. we asks if cu isnt mad at us. cu said he doesnt consent to this, but he isnt angry. he said we are just that kind of a master.
after that, we got a narrator saying that after that nothing special happened, we joined up with mashu and reishifted back to chaldea. we didnt reallyget any return from this singularity. but the narrator would like to think that the 2 days we spent with Cu Alter is already a return inand of itself. THen the narrator wonders if this long record would someday be read by somebody, or if it would never see daylight.
