    So, I don't know how much you guys trust TV Tropes, but according to his (still in development) profile, his Saber appearance is a Mythology Gag based on Fate/Zero's first ending visual.

    Back in Zero in that shot Diarmuid had two swords on his back which people assumed must have been his demonic Swords and they probably were. But as of now we have seen that the swords and his get up have been massively redesigned.
