It's not the animators' fault that the laws required all that smoke! Just look at the BD previews, it's way better without all the dust.

Face it, 99% of devs develop games with the Normal difficulty in mind and just make every enemy bulletspongier/ give the AI cheats on higher difficulties. There are games where Hard or harder difficulty actually provides a better experience (F.E.A.R. was a good one for its time) but they're pitifully few and far between.

I can't help it that, what over 80% of games are boring as hell, and that the main focus of "big" games lies mostly in mutiplayer
doesn't mean that there aren't good games that pull off higher difficulty well, and no I'm not saying you need to do fancy shit with difficulty to have a good game

I thought everyone learned about Noisycell from Barakamon. I know I did.

You should try Etrian Odyssey (the 3DS ones; the DS ones don't have difficulties at all), the devs clearly think the highest difficulty is the One True difficulty that's in line with the earlier works, and the easier ones are just "meh we'll toss in some modifiers to make the enemy hit like a wet noodle and the players can blow shit up easily, give them an exp boost even, why not throw in free retries while we're at it?"

I really wanted to like Etrian Odyssey. From how my friend described it, it was the perfect "mAc" game. But when I got EO1 it was way different than I expected... not enough story or character interaction (well, really, none) and no animations or anything. RIP

I still want to try and like it though. Maybe one of the later ones. The music is amazing either way.

I guess you can say I like the "idea" of Etrian Odyssey but wasn't able to get into the actual game.

Try Pokemon Mystery Dungeon instead, I recommend Explorers of Time/Darkness.

The story of EO is in your mind. (No but seriously)
If you don't mind being given 5 pre-made characters, the story-mode of Untold series have proper story and some anime cut scenes and whatnot. EOU1 is great.
If you want to make 5 (or less, or more) of your own characters, you naturally do have to be able to imagine the parts that aren't given to you from the game.
Though the more recent ones have more story than the ancient ones with just "you crawl dungeon, you bring back loot", they also have mini-events in the dungeon where your party has random things like "your fighter picks up a mushroom, eats it, and starts laughing madly; looks like it was poisonous? maybe should be careful of strange plants in the labyrinth!" happen to them.

I personally think EO is like playing TRPG on your own while letting the game be the GM for you. You're a GM kind of person right, I'm not entirely sure if you'd like the experience of being a player of all the characters on your team.

The Mystery Dungeon that was on the Gameboy was great. Even if the gameplay was somewhat subpar.

I had a customer call the shop yesterday and yell at me for five minutes saying that he checked his hidden cameras and we did none of the work we charged him for and stole three hours and 400 dollars from him. Then he specified the address, which was on the other side of town. I still can't figure out if he was trying to scam us and hung up when his lie fell through, or if he's so lazy that he just called the first shop that appeared in his google search.

Should've asked him for his address so you can "return" his hidden camera (assuming such a thing existed).
Then reminded him that hiding cameras in other people's stores is illegal and counter-blackmailed him.
