    Class Skills

Presence Concealment - Rank D: The capacity to hide one's presence as a Servant. It is a common Class Skill of the Assassin class.
Hides one's presence as a Servant. Suitable for spying. A low ranking of Presence Concealment unbecoming for an Assassin to the level that a Servant can infer one's presence at once.

    Personal Skills

Charisma - Rank C-: A composite Skill consisting of a person's charm as well as the natural talent to command or unify an army or country. Increases the ability of allies during group battles. A rare talent, and an ability inherent to Servants of the Saver class.
Charisma on the level of managing a people, such as the populace of a city-state or a large tribe. However, the morale of allied forces is lowered due to Assassin’s personality.

The End of the Spider Thread - Rank B: A skill which represents the ability to scheme evil.
Assassin is adept at spinning evil schemes to such an extent that the gods stepped in to stop him. He can also, at the very least, weasel out of punishments for long periods of time, even if he must eventually face his judgement.

Mystic Eyes - Rank C: A Skill where one has possession of Mystic Eyes, capable of imparting magical effects upon a subject and interfering with the outside world.
Assassin’s visits to the Underworld as a Shade caused a change in his physiology once he returned to life. He received Mystic Eyes able to project the qualities of a Shade onto others. For a moment, Assassin is able to weaken a target by robbing them of their menos and phrenes, their strength and wit, should they lock eyes with Assassin.

    Noble Phantasms
    The Chains that Bound Death
    Hálusis Thanatos

    Conceptual, Rank A
A set of chains, ending in manacles, serving as Assassin’s primary Noble Phantasm. These are the chains given to Thanatos, inescapable even by the personification of death itself. They were made to bind Assassin, but he managed to trick Thanatos and thus imprison death. Due to his use of them and their relation to death, Assassin possesses Hálusis Thanatos as a weapon and qualifies as an Assassin.
Hálusis Thanatos’ apparent use is simply as a weapon. The chains possess the ability to impart ‘stasis’ on a target with a hit, causing damaged targets to “stutter” into stasis for a few instants. Like this, Assassin can disjoint the battle, seeming from his opponents perspective to be able to stop time for short intervals, “jumping” over moments, while in fact it is his opponent that is losing moments when the chain hits them.
The true activation of Hálusis Thanatos, however, is to be able to infinitely suspend a concept, for as long as one end of the manacles remains attached to them. Assassin is capable of choosing whether to affect the entirety of the manacled target or simply a piece of them. The true usage of Hálusis Thanatos is to attach a manacle to a dying target and suspend their death. In this way, he can keep someone that should’ve died from their wounds alive despite all odds, either for buying time to heal them or to blackmail them with their life.

The Villain’s Return from the Underworld
    Sisyphos Katabasis

    Anti-Unit (Self), Rank C
Assassin’s second Noble Phantasm, and one that is activated only at the moment of his death. In his legend, Assassin was taken to the underworld, but managed to weasel out of the place, returning to life. Due to his earlier exploits, Thanatos was unwilling to come and drag him back, and he was thus able to live a full life.
After Assassin dies, rather than his magical energy fading and his soul going to the Grail, he only appears to have died. A few hours from his death, he will rematerialize with his lethal wounds healed. Though he appears in a random place close to the location of his “death”, Sisyphos Katabasis prioritizes resurrecting him in a safe position. As Assassin is treated as ‘dead’ for all intents and purposes while waiting for Sisyphos Katabasis to activate, the contract between Assassin and his Master is severed by his “death”. As recompense and in recognition of the deeds in life, he is granted the Skill Independent Action at rank A+ after Sisyphos Katabasis has activated.
Naturally, Sisyphos Katabasis is a Noble Phantasm that will only save Assassin from death once. After his return, Assassin is free to renew his earlier contract, seek service under another Master or simply go about his business as he wishes.

    Description
Likes: Living as long as possible, riches
    Dislikes: Boredom, his brother
    Talents: Improvising schemes, survival
    Natural Enemy: Odysseus

Assassin’s true identity is Sisyphos, the Cunning King of Corinth.

Sisyphos is renowned for his crafty and deceitful nature. Despite his reputation, he generally behaves well as long as there is something to occupy his brilliant mind. This has little to do with morality and more with expediency, as well as the desire to keep his identity as a schemer hidden so as to achieve greater success. When bored, Sisyphos is liable to turn to cruelty and mischief in order to alleviate his situation.
He is in no hurry to return to the Throne of Heroes, which he equates to a static, void existence. Sisyphos did not begrudge his punishment in the Underworld, as it gave him something to eternally occupy his time. Thus, simply returning to being a Saint Graph is anathema to Sisyphos, and he will use whatever means necessary to secure his survival.
As he is a lonely existence, Sisyphos does not think much of other Heroic Spirits. He has a healthy respect for those he knows to be mightier than him, as this might save him the trouble of facing them in combat. Likewise, he tends to lean towards respect when it comes to gods and those possessing high Divinity, as Sisyphos has had negative experiences with defying gods. He would likely get along with schemers like himself, though he hates being outplayed in this field.
Though recognizing that he has manifested as a Servant, Sisyphos insists that he is not a slave. Even as a Servant, he is still a king, and expects for his Master to provide lavish holdings, which may cause friction if the Master is unable to deliver. His love of riches, which in life drove him to pettily murder travelers and traders visiting him, has not changed, and as such he expects a suitable reward from successful actions. Overall, Sisyphos is a difficult Servant for a Master to deal with, though he generally does not view rebellion as worth the effort - at least for as long as the Master still has Command Spells remaining…
Sisyphos’ wish to the Holy Grail would be to undo the consequences of his actions in life. In essence, he seeks freedom from consequence, allowing him to do as he wishes.

    Lore
Sisyphos, the son of Aeolus, was born heir to the throne of Thessaly in central Greece. Sisyphos and one of his brothers, Salmoneus, hated each other and Salmoneus took the throne of Thessaly from him.
Eventually Sisyphos would become a king—but never of Thessaly. The sorceress Medea gave Sisyphos the throne of Ephyra, later known as Corinth. Some say that Sisyphos earned the crown by founding the city, which he populated with people grown out of mushrooms. Sisyphos married Merope, the only one of the seven Pleiades (daughters of the Titan Atlas and Pleione) to have wedded a mortal rather than consorting with the gods. The couple would have three children: Glaucus, Ornytion, and Sinon.
Sisyphos, called “the craftiest of men” by Homer, was extraordinarily clever. His ingenuity came in handy when Autolycus began grazing cattle near the herds of Sisyphos.
Autolycus was a notorious thief. He would steal anything he could get his hands on. But he always escaped detection because he could change the form or color of anything he stole. Horned cattle would lose their horns; brown cattle would become white.
Autolycus repeatedly stole cattle from Sisyphos’s herd. Sisyphos noticed that cattle were missing—and that the herd of Autolycus seemed to be expanding in number, but could not prove any theft.
In an attempt to catch Autolycus in the act, Sisyphos secretly marked the inside of the hooves of his cattle. Some say he wrote the words “Stolen by Autolycus,” while others maintain he wrote only the letters “SS”. The later discovery of his mark on cows in Autolycus’s herd proved that his neighbor was a thief.
Sisyphos was not satisfied merely with proving Autolycus a thief and recovering his cattle. Seeking revenge, he seduced Anticleia, the daughter of Autolycus and later the mother of Odysseus. Given the cunning that Odysseus later demonstrated, many have suggested that Sisyphos, rather than Anticleia’s husband Laertes, was his father.
This was not the only occasion when Sisyphos used an enemy’s daughter in order to take revenge on the father. When he consulted the oracle at Delphi to find out how he might exact revenge on his hated brother, Salmoneus, he learned that if he had children by his brother’s daughter, they would destroy their grandfather.
Without a second thought, Sisyphos violated his beautiful niece Tyro. The oracle went unfulfilled, however, because Tyro, learning of the prophecy, killed both of her sons.

In his time on Earth, Sisyphos killed, raped and stole. The special place of Sisyphos in the of the Underworld, however, comes not from his ill treatment of his niece or other mortals, but from the application of his cunning in his relations with the Gods. Though he had violated guest right several times, it was acting against Zeus directly that spurred the god into action.
His crimes against the gods began with Zeus. Asopus—a river god whose father was Poseidon—was looking for his daughter Aegina, who had disappeared. Sisyphos promised to tell Asopus what had happened to Aegina if the river god would create an eternal spring for Sisyphos’s kingdom, Corinth. Once Asopus created this endless source of fresh water, Sisyphos named Zeus as Aegina’s abductor. Enraged, Asopus pursued Zeus until the god’s thunderbolts forced him to retreat.
Even though Zeus had in fact taken Aegina, to punish Sisyphos for his betrayal, Zeus sent Thanatos after him. Yet Sisyphos managed to outwit Death. He may have asked Thanatos to demonstrate how a pair of handcuffs worked and then locked them on Thanatos himself.
In any case, Thanatos found himself a prisoner in Sisyphos’s house. With Thanatos locked up, no one could die—no matter how gruesome the injuries suffered. The headless, bloodless, mortally wounded, and disease-torn continued to walk the earth, racked with pain and begging for release. Finally, the war – god Ares set Thanatos free and delivered Sisyphos to him.
However, clever Sisyphos managed to elude his fate. Before descending to Hades, he instructed his wife Merope not to bury him, give him a funeral feast, perform any sacrifices to Hades or Persephone, or place a coin under his tongue.
Sisyphos thus arrived at the Palace of Hades as an unburied pauper. Appealing to Queen Persephone, Sisyphos told her that he had no right to be there. As one of the unburied, who had no fare for Charon, he should have been abandoned on the far side of the river Styx. Furthermore, Sisyphos argued, his wife’s neglect of funeral ceremonies and sacrifices might set a bad example for other widows in the future.
Sisyphos pleaded for permission to return to the surface of the earth for just three days. This brief time would allow him to arrange for his funeral, to punish his wife for neglecting her duties, and to teach her respect for the lords of the Underworld. Persephone fell for his pleas and allowed Sisyphos to go home. Sisyphos, of course, had no intention to return to the world of darkness. He reneged on his promise to descend again in three days. Indeed, he lived many more years until old age claimed him at last.
For his offenses to both Zeus and Hades, Sisyphos was condemned to eternal punishment in Tartarus, the lowest region of the Underworld. The king of Corinth would forever roll a massive boulder to the top of a steep hill. But his efforts were always in vain, for whenever Sisyphos neared the top, the rock would roll right back down again. Sisyphos was thus forced to start his labor all over again.

    Notes
As a side note on the faceclaim, he probably doesn’t associate much with the rock related to his punishment as an Assassin. I imagined that that would be his weapon as a Berserker.
Due to the influence of his myth, it would probably manifest along with him, but Sisyphos would likely just leave it somewhere rather than push it around anymore.

Also his Luck is A- due to the fact that it gets "spent" whenever he gets lucky, and as such the rank is steadily lowered.

Magic Resistance - Rank A: Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects Magical Energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether.
Cancel spells of A-Rank or below, no matter what High-Thaumaturgy it is. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a 'Magus Killer'.

    Personal Skills

Inspiration (Comedy) - Rank EX: The ability of a Muse to provide inspiration in the arts and sciences. Each user has their own specific field, such as various genres of poetry, history, dance or astronomy.
Lancer’s comedy, being derived chiefly from its ancient roots, is the denial of pain and serious consequences, as well as the humiliation of the haughty for the purpose of amusement. Unlike the rest of her sisters, Lancer’s Inspiration can more closely be described as inflicting comedy than inspiring it. Affected targets suffer strange bouts of extreme fortune or misfortune, turning a serious battle into a farce.

Goddess’ Divine Core - Rank B: A Skill that expresses one being a perfected goddess from birth. A composite Skill that comprises the Skill Divinity, preserves the absoluteness of the mind and the body, repels all mental interference, prevents the body from growth and prevents the figure from change no matter how much calories are absorbed.
As a lesser divinity compared to the gods of Olympus, Lancer’s aptitude as a Divine Spirit falls short of reaching their level.

Protection of the Music God - Rank C: A Skill that denotes the divine protection of the Goddess of Arts Muse that one attained by having great skill in music. Makes possible to distinguish all kinds of sounds and play a masterful music performance. Furthermore, plus modifiers are applied to the exercise of music magecraft.
Lancer gains this Skill purely due to her connections with the other Muses. She does possess some talent in idyllic poetry and certain types of music, but her lack of recognition lowers the rank of this Skill significantly. It is possible that her being allowed to possess Protection of the Music God is a blessing from Apollo.

    Noble Phantasms

    An Act Finished
    Ánkistron Ekbibázō

    Anti-Unit, Rank C
Lancer’s Noble Phantasm, being a use of her shepherd’s crook in a way that only gained prominence over a millennium after her era. In certain performance act, “the hook” was used to surreptitiously pull a performer that had overstayed their welcome or otherwise proved unpopular with the audience from the stage.
Ánkistron Ekbibázō, when invoked, quite literally removes a target from the stage. If the hook manages to find purchase on a target’s body, a tug from the tool causes the target to vanish at great speed, as though having suddenly and unexpectedly left a performance stage. The target is deposited back into a safe location nearby after a period of time dependent on their Mana and Luck parameters, ranging from a few minutes to several hours.
Naturally, as Ánkistron Ekbibázō uses Lancer’s crook as a means of removing the enemy, targets that are too fast, too large to be hooked or have witnessed the Noble Phantasm before can easily avoid it.

    Description
    Likes: Rustic environments, laughter
Dislikes: Being less popular than her sisters, killing mortals
    Talents: Comedic timing, sheepherding
    Natural Enemy: Aeschylus

Lancer’s true identity is Thaleia, the Muse of Comedy.

Despite appearing to be nothing but a cheerful shepherd girl, Thaleia is in actuality one of the nine Muses, the goddesses that inspire art and science. She often pretends to be clumsy and plays the fool, though this is purely for the sake of comedy. Thaleia is quite pleased with the appreciation her art receives in the modern day, though she feels that she has fallen somewhat behind the times. As such, she rabidly consumes all forms of comedic media whenever she can.
Thaleia is resentful towards her sisters due to comedy being regarded as the lowest form of art in Ancient Greece. As such, she was always less popular in the eyes of the people than the other muses. This is part of the reason behind her manifestation as a Servant, as it is a blatant attempt to grab at an audience’s attention in order to surpass the rest of the Muses.
As a spirit of cheer, Thaleia feels sorry for Heroic Spirits that have particularly tragic tales. Especially in the case of Servants originating from Greece, she thinks that their suffering was unjustly milked by Hellenic theatre. She is strangely fond of Servants that think highly of themselves or those that are held in high esteem by others. Naturally, this appreciation is simply for the sake of comedy value.
Thaleia would likely chafe under a seriously-minded Master. If she does not feel appreciated for what she brings to the field, she is likely to sulk and become harder to handle. Her headstrong nature lends itself poorly to service as a Servant, but were someone to appreciate and even guide her comedy, she would devote herself to that person.
Thaleia wishes to outshine her sisters, wishing to the Holy Grail for comedy to become the most popular form of art. Unfortunately, this may already have happened.

    Lore
In Greek Mythology, Thaleia was one of the nine Muses, the goddesses of music, song and dance. In the Classical era, when the Muses were assigned specific artistic and literary spheres, Thaleia was named Muse of comedy and bucolic poetry. In this guise she was portrayed with the attributes of comic mask, shepherd's staff and wreath of ivy.

    Knight of Sorcery
    Caster Menw

    Class: Caster
    Alternate Classes: Rider, Lancer, Avenger
    True Name: Menw Mab Teirgwaedd
    Origin: Arthurian Myth
    Alignment: Neutral Good
    Armaments: Spear
    Attribute: Earth
Traits: Male, Servant, Fairy, Weak to Enuma Elish

Wish for the Grail: To be rid of his curse.

Appearance: He wars blue pants (appropriate for his era) a blue chest plat and sparse armor on his arms and legs held there by leather. A blue wizard’s hat atop his head, his hair is a light, almost white, blue and his eye’s pink. He caries a blue spear with images of fairies etched in a lighter blue on it. Around him always are three pixies one red, one yellow, one blue. The sprite just has these pixies as glowing lights, yellow around his leg, blue resting on his shoulder, and red floating above him.

    Bio
Bio: Uther Pendragon had impregnated Igraine so as to produce a child with the power of the Red Dragon of Britain, a child to inherit the throne as Britain’s king. However Uther is disappointed to see this child born a girl and fell into despair knowing he could not make her heir to his throne. Holding onto whatever hope he could Uther began preparing for his heir, confident that he shall have a male child at a later date.

One among these preparations was to find a new court mage to replace Merlin. Though Uther knew Merlin to be a powerful mage, he also knew him to be untrustworthy, for even when he believed in his prophecy Uther knew Merlin to be aloof. Thus he began to search for one with great potential for magic. Much to Uther’s surprise it was a small boy in a small village whom showed him such potential.

Within Uther’s domain lived a child Menw whom displayed many feats of magic, creating voice’s in the wind, causing object to fall from afar, and even creating illusions. Uther believing this child could one day become a mage as great as Merlin visited him. The kings first question was how the child came to know such sorcery only for the child to state it was not he whom performed the deeds but his friends.

Further explaining, Menw told the king that he was born with a unique ability most other humans lake, the ability to see fairies. Through this he interacted with the fairies, and often asked them to help in his mischief making. Though initially distraught at the thought of wasting his time on a prankster without magical power, Uther eventually concluded that surely one born with such a gift would have a gift for magic as well.

Deciding to give the boy a test, Uther taught him the single form of magic Merlin had taught the king, the ability to change shape. Much to the kings surprise the boy learned this magic which took Uther a month, in but a day. Satisfied Uther told the boy to find ways of learning magic, to learn as much as he could, and when the day came that he herd news of Uther’s heir to join the kings court.

Menw did as the king asked, learning many forms of magecraft from the fairies, until many years latter he herd word of King Arthur Pendragon had been crowned king. Making his way to the court, he told the king of her father’s request, asking to become one of her knights. Under the advice of Merlin Arthur accepted knighting Menw as the Knight of Sorcery. In the early days of Arthur’s rule Menw spent most his time, pulling pranks on his fellow knights, or helping in his fellow prankster’s efforts to do so. Then one day King Arthur’s cousin Culhwch came before the court asking for the kings help.

Cursed to be unable to marry any woman save the Olwen daughter of the giant Ysbaddaden. The giant had set for Culhwch a series of impossible tasks, and thus he asked his cousin for assistance. Arthur herself came to his aid, taking with her, her hunting dog Cavall, and six knights Menw among them.

Each one chosen for a reason, Menw accompanied the band of knights to give aid through his enchantments. When Ysbaddaden attempts to kill the knights, insisting Culhwch perform these deeds himself flinging a poison spear at them. Menw caught the spear using it against the giant, and once poisoned threatening to leave him to die should he not allow the knights assistance. After curing the giant, they set out on their first task, hunting down the demonic boar Twrch Trwyth.

Whenever they encountered a danger the knights would rather avoid, Menw used his magic to hide them in a Fairies Vale, allowing none to see them while they saw all. Finally they had tracked down the boar Menw volunteered to scout the area. Shapeshifting into the form of a bird, Menw found the boar and his piglets asleep, as well as the scissors, razor, and comb in his hair.

Seeing an opportunity to claim one of they treasures they sought, Menw flew down and attempted to grasp the boar’s comb. Unfortunately this awoke the beast whom proceeded to thrash about, the bristles of his comb scratching against Menw poisoning the mage for all his remaining life. It was then that Arthur and her knights ran in, ready to kill their pray and claim their prize. Despite his affliction Menw joined in the fight, giving aid as best he could to his fellow knights, and even defeating one of the piglets himself.

Continuing the adventure Menw helped as best he could with each of Ysbaddaden’s tasks until finally the giant relented. Soon after Culhwch’s wedding the party returned to Camelot and continued their service to the king. Menw was eventually joined by two other Sorcerer Knights and the three became court mages and advisors to King Arthur, often filling in for the aloof Merlin. He would have many more adventures both large and small, he would be wed, and have a daughter Annynawg whom herself became a knight of the king. Yet things did not remain ideal, tension rose between the knights, and the king became stoic and emotionless.

As tensions rose ever higher, Menw asked the king why it is she had become so stoic to which she replied, “I am the perfect king, as such I should only show the emotions needed for a just rule of the kingdom.” With a sad smile Menw left, taking his family to a place far from Britain never another word spoken to his king or his fellow knights. Though not as famed as Lancelot, or many of the other knights of the round table, Menw’s legend was recorded into the throne of heroes, a mage in beloved by the fay, and once in service to the King of Knights.

    -Luck: E
    -NP: B+

    Skills
    Class Skills:

Item Creation B+++: A skill denoting one’s capacity to create magical items, Caster has the ability to create almost any magical object from healing potions, to magical weapons and even golems. However as much of this is done with the help of fairies rather than by his own hands it is decreased in rank to its current point.

Territory Creation B+++: The skill to create special terrains, Caster often made use of Bounded Fields to help protect his allies. By his own power Caster would have this skill at B rank allowing him to easily make workshops, and other similar structures, but with the help of fairies he is able to castles or even an entire forest given enough time.

Fairies Blessing A: A skill which denotes one having the blessing of fairies, it was a parting gift given to Caster by the fairies he befriended before becoming a knight. This skill helps to heal one’s wounds, as well as making it easier to come into contact and gain help from fairies. Normally it should be EX rank due to his Noble Phantasm, however his detrimental skill Cursed Blood (Poison) taxes this skill decreasing its rank.

    Personal Skills:

Shapeshift A: A skill denoting a servant’s ability to alter their shape, as part of Caster’s legend includes this ability, he has earned this skill at a high rank. Caster is able to transform into almost any animal and even alter only parts of his body but prefers medium to small animals.

Cursed Blood (Poison) B-: A skill born of a curse existing within one’s blood, one of a poisonous nature. After he was poisoned, Caster spent the remainder of his life afflicted never fully well, more than this the poison was part of his blood, meaning that any whom touched it was also poisoned. The curse never passed on to his daughter, and even when poisoned by his blood, the curse itself did not transfer to others decreasing this skills rank to A. Further decreasing its rank is his skill Fairies Blessing, which allowed him to live despite the poison. This skill decreases Caster’s Strength and Endurance in trad for the ability to poison other’s using his blood.

Fairy Eyes B++: The Mystic Eye’s Caster was born with, manifested as a skill allowing him to see things normally beyond human sight, such as fairies. In addition to allowing him to see fairies, this skill also allows Caster to see past illusions, and easily track the movements of others, even when moving speeds to fast for normal human eyes.

Fairies Vale EX: A form of illusion magecraft performed with the assistance of fairies, it allows Caster to hide himself and allies, making them entirely invisible. In addition it also temporarily coveys the Fairies blessings onto his allies, helping to heal their wounds and ease their pains. By Caster’s skill and power alone this skill would likely only be A rank however it has increased to EX thanks to his Fairies Blessings skill and Noble Phantasm.

    Noble Phantasms
    Noble Phantasms:

Malais y Tylwyth Teg: Venomous Spear of Malic B+:

The poison spear Menw once owned by the giant Ysbaddaden, Menw has since made it his own. It is a spear made of the malice and grudges of the fairies Ysbaddaden sacrificed to create it. Barring the malice and grudges of fairies whom lost their freedom, their and lives to the greed and ignorance of a monstrous giant, the spear itself is of the Avenger class, despite Menw not being so. Menw kept after using it against Ysbaddaden hoping that using it for good would ease the souls within, but this has yet to occur.

Cariad at y Tylwyth Teg: Kinship with the Children of the Forest A:

The embodiment of Menw’s friendship with the fairies, it is a blessing that allows him to easily come into contact them and gain their help. While he cannot command fairies, they are more likely to grant his requests, wither they be to heal or to harm another. It also makes it easier for the fairies to manifest a body, allowing them to better help Menw and others.

-Artoria Alter: “You dare speak to me Fairy Boy? Leaving like you did, your just as much a traitor as Mordred, now present your head.”

-Anastasia: “Fairies!? *Eye’s glimmer with wonder*”

Authors Notes: So this was an interesting one, Menw isn’t talked about much but there were a few interesting parts such as the fact he was a mage. I did add some elements such as his Fairy Eyes and his relationship with them, but things like the poison spear, the shape shifting, and being able to make people invisible were all parts of his legend.

Maybe, though I'd likely try and finish the rest of the Eight Immortals before embarking on another ensemble (Zhongli Quan keeps giving me trouble). Also some of the muses would just be boring Casters, and I don't like phoning it in when it comes to sheets.

Well, I'm sure you'll figure out a way to make each Muse very distinctive from each other.

Menw: Welsh ancestry obligated to reapond, yadda yadda.

I'm puzzled by most of his parameters but I don't like to nitpick those unless there's something really egregious.
I do wonder why he has the spear when he didn't actually kill Ysbaddaden. As Caster, it just seems like it could be part of his Item Construction, with Cuhlwch having the actual NP.
No reference to the Great Enchantment that Uther taught him in the sheet itself?

And now I see that Shapeshift is the reference, disregard me.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked it. I can understand your stance on the spear, but I couldn't think of a better NP so I went with the poison spear (also why would Culhwch have it as NP, even if he used it (and I don't know if he did or didn't) Menw owns it). In hindsight I could've used gotten rid of the Fairy Vale skill and have his second NP be his only one, but isn't it cooler that he has a bad ass spear that is the manifestation of grudges and hatred.

And unless thou wilt do so, thou shalt meet with thy death on her account." Then he said, "Her four great-grandmothers, and her four great-grandsires are yet alive, it is needful that I take counsel of them."

"Be it so," answered they, "we will go to meat." As they rose up, he took the second dart that was beside him, and cast it after them. And Menw the son of Gwaedd caught it, and flung it back at him, and wounded him in the centre of the breast, so that it came out at the small of his back. "A cursed ungentle son-in-law, truly," said he, "the hard iron pains me like the bite of a horse-leech. Cursed be the hearth whereon it was heated, and the smith who formed it! So sharp is it! Henceforth, whenever I go up a hill, I shall have a scant in my breath, and a pain in my chest, and I shall often loathe my food." And they went to meat.
Considering Menw never actually made the spear, and instead was one of three warriors who used Ysbaddaden's own spears against him, it just seems strange. But if it's part of your fan history then I suppose there's nothing else I can really say.

After reading your response I changed the spears description a bit of its part in the bio. I'm ashamed to admit I didn't actually read the story, I did my research, but obviously not enough.

Depends on the immortal. Its not exactly enlightenment-based, though that plays a part. Usually the actual immortalization occurs through alchemy, namely consuming a concoction that induces their immortality. Some were also given their immortality candy by another immortal once they'd proven themselves.

As for "Enigma"... Too many EX ranks without justification of any sort. Also, is that an Aristoteles influenced by Plato or the other way around that you're referring to? I'm not curious, its just that your sentence structure makes it hard to grasp which one you mean.

And as for the last question: Yes and (mostly) no. Though you've lessened the amount of random EX rankings on your sheets, your discovery of plus modifiers and constant spamming of those sets back whatever progress you've made immensely. You ought to keep in mind that Servants (looking at the Theophrastos sheet) need limits or a striking personality to be interesting, and this one has neither, being capable of pretty much everything imaginable.
Lastly, even if grammar is giving you trouble, you could at least look up the proper spelling of common words and use those rather than winging it. It would certainly make your sheets less of a pain to read.

Also in case anyone cares, I've got some sheet ideas up for grabs again, because my to-do list keeps bloating every day. Most of them have at least a vague sort of statline and something resembling skills and Noble Phantasms of varying quality. If anyone happens to be interested, I can PM what I've got done on them and more notes on what they did. I guess most of these have the benefit of not having been done before.
Not that anybody ever picks up on these, though.

Robert Rogers: The first Ranger in the military sense. British soldier operating in the Americas who got fed up with the natives ambushing them all the time and decided to give them a taste of their own medicine. Besides some of his questionable activities involving guerrilla warfare, he also set up the Rules of Ranging which are (in a modified state) still followed by Ranger companies to this day.

Mfumu Mpashi: A weird one. Essentially a tradition of ancestor worship (a communal Heroic Spirit formed of Phantoms, essentially) walking around as a Servant. As a side note, the ancestor spirits of chieftains happen to be lions, so the Servant can ride those or sick them on people.

Mechi: Still the son of the Morrígan, appears as a young child due to being killed when he was young. Has a heart infested with a trio of snakes that were prophesied to one day grow and destroy Ireland, but getting killed put a stop to that. Probably has severe mommy issues due to the Morrígan just stepping aside and letting him get murdered.

Skanderbeg: A warrior king from Eastern Europe who was raised by the Ottomans to be their commander. He promptly switched sides as an adult, converted to Christianity and started fighting the Ottomans. Contemporary of Vlad, but got far more recognition for his actions, being named the Bulwark of Christianity by the Pope. Apparently had a big hand in holding the Ottomans back, as even they remarked that Christendom had lost its sword and shield with his death. Named after Iskandar, also has a magic sword and a magic horse in legend. The horse's whinny scares enemies, but I can't find any source on what makes the sword magic, other than it belonged to some sultan.

Lostbelt Vlad: Born from listening to the Dracula musical (West End version) one too many times. Essentially "what if Vlad had somehow managed to become one with the Night of Wallachia on the night of its appearance". He'd then have gone on to murderize the Ottomans, got a papal condemnation for his sins (despite acting in their best interests), then decided to embrace his monstrosity and became the shadowy overlord of the Vampiric Lostbelt. Arch-enemy of the regular Vlad.

Hugh Glass: Very durable person par excellence. Traipsed across history, coming across a few famous pirates and spending some time with them, living with the Native Americans on amiable terms, almost got killed by other Native Americans, almost got killed (again) by a bear (which he killed), abandoned into the wilderness by his travelling companions and finally proceeded to track them down to engage in some sweet, sweet vengeance. Ended up forgiving them in the end, though.

Enepsigos: A demon I've mentioned in this thread earlier. Double- to triple-headed demon connected to the moon, with the stated goal of wishing for it to crash to earth. Foiled by some Archangel. One myth describes her seeing as far to the future as Solomon (or rather, giving him a vision of the future). Might be Hecate wearing a mask, all pissed off that Artemis supplanted her as the chief moon-goddess (sort of).

Kamapua'a: A Hawaiian kupua (divine-ish entity with a double form - one human, one something else) and on-off boyfriend to Pele. Oddly for a kupua, he looked like a humanoid pig but his other form was a tree. Apparently was also really, really handsome, which Pele didn't like for some reason. Might be a Lancer wielding his alternate form? This one is on the list mainly because of the fact that I can't stop thinking of Inosuke (from KnY) as his faceclaim.

Wologor: A strange Polish mystical entity that guards the rest of some sort of mountain god. Takes time out of his busy schedule to watch over the dreams of humans as well. The main myth dealing with him relates to his infatuation with a mortal woman. He burned her house down by accident (apparently through sheer burning passion). Also has a bull/bison head.

You can PM me about those Hugh Glass and Enepsigos ideas, since I'd considered working on those sheets myself a while back. For Hugh Glass, I imagined he'd be a false Avenger due to being conflated with the popular movie about him where he did end up completing his revenge against the men who abandoned him.

Ahh...Menw. Another person on the "probably won't appear in canon because someone else fills their role" in this case being Merlin. Bugs has already gone over pretty much anything I would say, but I just props for trying to tackle someone so obscure in Arthurian myth.

    Class: Ruler
    Other Classes: Saber, Rider
    True Name: Duke Naimes
    Alignment: Lawful Good
    Place of Origin: France

    Parameters:

    STR: D
    END: C
    AGI: C
    MGI: B+
    LCK: E
    NP: A

    Likes: Roland, Charlemagne, Truth, Peace
    Dislikes: Deceit, War
    Talent: Trusting Others
    Natural Enemy: Canabeus
    Attribute: Man
    Armament: His Sword

    Class Skills:
    Spoiler:

    God’s Resolution
    Rank: B
A Class Skill of the Ruler class and is the privilege of the Ruler presiding over the Holy Grail War; the right to use Command Spells against Servants, only given to Rulers. Each Ruler is normally granted two Command Spells for each Servant that participates in the Holy Grail War.

    True Name Discernment
    Rank: B
If summoned as a Ruler, during a direct encounter, a Servant's true name and entire status information will be automatically revealed. In regards to Servants with concealment abilities, a Luck Check is required to bypass those abilities.

    Riding
    Rank: B
Most vehicles and animals can be handled with above average skill, even vehicles that did not exist in the time period one was alive in, for they are no exception. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasmal Species such as Monstrous Beasts.

    Personal Skills:
    Spoiler:

    Trust
    Rank: EX
The ability to trust that ones words are true. Not a skill that affects others but a skill that affects oneself. Ruler was a man who’s decision to trust words at face value led to the deaths of his precious comrades, but he refuses to see that as the wrong decision. A man who believes that trust must exist in the world to bring about peace he will always believe anything that others tell him unless there is proof otherwise.

Normally such a behavior would not be a skill but Ruler’s force of will etched it onto his saint graph in this way. As a side effect most people around Ruler find themselves wishing to live up to his expectations, but this is a result of psychology not magecraft so it cannot be defended against.

    Battle Continuation
    Rank: C
A man beloved by God so much that he was saved from death and allowed to continue to fight against his enemy. Even though God may not be looking out for him Ruler remembers the feelings of fighting even beyond ones limits.

    Charisma
    Rank: C
The skill to lead one’s troops in battle and run a nation. At this rank it is not high enough to be a king but Ruler’s skill as an administrator and aid to the king is indispensable.

    Noble Phantasm(s):
    Spoiler:

    The Third Horn
Saving My Friends a Moment to Late

    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: A
    Range: 1-99
    Max Targets: 1000

Roland of the Twelve Paladins’s pride got in his way to call for Charlemagne’s help until after most of hi men had fallen. At that point he rang his Oliphant Horn three times to call in Charlemagne. Ruler was the one to hear these horns and immediately had Charlemagne turn the army around and save the Paladins but was too late. The Third Horn is an extremely situational Noble Phantasm. If Ruler has gained an ally during his summoning, they are in battle, and the point of no return here no level of assistance can save the ally has been reached Third Horn will activate. A Reality Marble of Ruler’s biggest regret where the powerful army of Charlemagne is summed to avenge the ally of Ruler that has been killed. It is a truly useless Noble Phantasm as purposeful activation is impossible as the intent of sacrificing an ally renders the Noble Phantasm inactive.

    Lore:
    Spoiler:

Duke Naimes was a member of Charlemagne’s court known for dispensing wisdom to the younger generations even if they did not care for it and not being afraid to speak his mind to the king. When war broke out with the Saracens he was one of the few who opposed the war calling it a ‘waste of time, resources, and more importantly, lives’

His dedication to peace and his lack of fear letting anybody know it brought him to Roland’s attention and he was given an invitation to join the Twelve Paladins. Naimes refused on the grounds that the Paladins were nothing but thugs who cared more about their own glory than ending the war.

Roland did not give up though and continued to bug Naimes to join the Paladins. Over time Naimes began to understand Roland as a person and saw he was not the thug he had believed him to be. Naimes ended up joining the Paladins and using that position to reduce the number of battles fought against the Saracens and keep casualties on both sides to a minimum.

Then that fateful day came. Marsile, the ruler of Spain in Emir Baligant’s stead, came to king Charlemagne with hostages for the king and claimed he wanted to end the bloody war with Charlemagne leaving Spain. Charlemagne was unsure if he should believe the man he had been fighting for years but Naimes was convinced of the king’s truthfulness and advocated ending the war in Spain. Roland shouted his disagreement and made a large ruckus in the court embarrassing the king which resulted in the Twelve Paladins being sentenced to be the rearguard, the least glorious position in the army.

At this humiliation Roland turned to Naimes and claimed that since he cared to much for his own ego he could stroke it with the king and removed him from the Paladins. Naimes went after Roland after he stormed out of the court wanting to talk down his friend and see why he had gone so off the deep end, he hadn’t even acted like this when he was driven mad.

The following conversation may have been the first time Naimes had ever truly understood Roland. Naimes left him and returned to the king unsure of what had truly happened, and he was still in that daze when he heard the three calls of the Oliphant horn. He urged his king to send the armies to the rear guard and save Roland and his unit but they were too late. By the time the main force had gotten there the rearguard had already fallen.

Naimes was completely broken. It was his decision to trust Marsile that led to Roland’s death. He wanted revenge, to slaughter the Saracens to the last man for revenge, then he remembered Roland’s last words to him.

“You know, I’m jealous of you. If more people could have such faith in others like you do maybe I wouldn’t have been needed. Your role in the Paladins may be over but please, do not lose your faith in humanity. This is my one wish as a man.”

He decided he would renew his desire for peace. He sent messengers to Emir Baligant the leader of the greater Saracen forces and spoke to him of his regent’s treacherous actions calling for justice. He spoke to Charlemagne and tried to get the king to keep his anger in check and not rush to begin he war again so quickly. He knew that war was inevitable at this point but he knew he could minimize the effects of it. His hard work eventually paid off and Baligant came to Charlemagne for one final battle to end the fight between the French and Saracens once and for all rather than dragging out another seven year campaign in Spain.

The fight was brutal and many died but in that single day the war ended and peace reigned in the kingdom for many years. As the last of the Paladins Naimes spent his entire life trying to keep it that way and died happy that he had kept the peace but sad knowing that someday it might pass.

    Personality:
    Spoiler:

All Naimes wants is peace. Not peace at all costs, or peace through dominating his enemies, but true peace born of mutual understanding between all parties. This dream is at odds with his position as a Paladin but he is not so naive to think that peace can be achieved immediately without bloodshed.

One of his ideals for peace is trust. If you can trust others as face value then understanding will increase and eventually a need for violence will vanish. As a result even though he knows it will come back to bite him he has decided that he will believe what he is told as long as he does not have evidence to the contrary.

As the mediator of the Holy Grail War he will try to get the servants to act nobly and not bring in any civilians into the fight and keep the masters safe. If there is a truly evil servant that is purposefully harming civilians such as Giles de Rais or Jack the Ripper he will try his best to reason with them but if all else fails he will fall on them with vengeance.

If he is summoned as a servant with a master he will treat them well as long as they do not desire to harm others and will fight other servants with the justification that they are already dead and are all willing to fight to the death again for a chance at a wish. If he won the Holy Grail he would wish for all people all over the world to be willing to trust one another completely.

    Bond:
    Spoiler:

    On Summoning:
“Servant Ruler Naimes here. Pleased to be here.”

    If you have summoned Roland:
“It is so good to see you again. I have to ask, did you know? Did you know what was going to happen?”

    If you have summoned Amakusa:
“I am not sure what to think of that one. I mean I understand his reasons and appreciate the end result but his methods. If the base is not properly laid then the house will collapse.

    About the Holy Grail:
“I understand the desire to jus wish for world peace right away but the chances of that working out is impossible. It’s best to just lay the groundwork and help the people get there themselves.”

    About his Likes:
“Peace ofcourse. Nothing better than knowing that everybody else is having a good time.”

    About his Dislikes:
“Broken promises. A man is only as good as his word and it should be as strong as iron.”

    Bond 1:
“This is the beginning of a new contract. We shall believe each other whole heartedly. I have that faith in you.”

    Bond 2:
“I see you have decided to continue believing in me. I am glad, for even if it starts with only the two of us this path can grow to cover the entire world.”

    Bond 3:
“Trust isn’t just having faith in others, it also means having faith in yourself.”

    Bond 4:
“Do I regret trusting Marsile? Of course I do, that event lead to the deaths of my closest friends. However I would still believe him if he came to me now. Being regretful and believing you were wrong are two different things.”

    Bond 5:
“Even if I lose my eyes, my ears, and all my senses I will trust you to be my truth. With you to guide me down the path I know that my dream is more than just a fleeting vision.

    Creator Notes:

The last Paladin before Roland. I am not really sure what to think about that. As for Naimes himself he wasn’t a Paladin in any of the texts really but I liked the idea of one Paladin having survived due to not being at the battle. I’m obviously exaggerating his trusting nature a ton but I like that idea as a concept. It is not necessarily the right way of existing but it is an extremely charismatic one that draws people in. It has the potential to change the world under certain circumstances or with the Holy Grail but 99% of the time it will end in tragedy. The faceclaim is Theo from KNights Chronicle and I'll probably be using a lot of FCs from there since there's just so many distinct fantasy type characters.

Also I might not have completely seeded what I'm doing with Roland properly but does anyone have a guess as to what his deal in my sheets is?

Naimes reminds me of a quote about the titular character in Medaka Box: "It's not that she doesn't know how to doubt people, it's that she knows how to trust people". Overall, a very interesting and well fleshed out character. It also occurred to me he'd probably get along well with my Deianira Lily, since they both strongly value trust and have distrusting people as one of their core dislikes.
