Summary:
Author Avatar Shirou becomes the manager of Hinata Sou, has Shinobu crushing on him, and unfailingly proceeds to show how much better he is than the rest of the residents. Includes stereotypical psycho Naru, irrationally murderous Motoko, suicidally plotting Kitsune and sexually promiscuous Rider. Plot does not deviate much from canon, and the girls keep acting like he's Keitaro even though he's not. Fails at characterization, fails at pacing, and overall fails at being interesting.
Read if you like monodimensional characters and author sues; avoid like the plague otherwise.

My summary of Promises of a Wandering Hero:
Shirou Emiya, whilst travelling back from London, meets a certain grandmother who is keeps calling him Keitaro... and out of his kind heart, he obliges to DNA testing... He is, indeed, her grandson.
Its pretty interesting, while there seems to be a few gaps, I love the exploration of Shirou's character as well as painting his mate(s) not being totally dependent on him, which is a breath of fresh air. The author may be somewhat influenced by Gabriel Blessing, but overall, I feel his work is getting only better and better.
Key points of backstory/story for us FSN backgrounders:
Main Story ~2-4 years post Holy Grail War
Ilya is alive, loves her Onii-chan. Massacred most of the Einzberns with help of Mage Slayer II.
Saber returned to her own time... but she and Shirou met again (recently, 'miracle'). Obviously Shirou's Main Love.
Shirou is in a long-distance relationship with Rin, Sakura, and Rider(implied Rider)...
Caren is mega trollz <3
HGW is a giant mishmash/what-ifs, including;
Gil Fight
Corrupted Grail nomming servants, almost got Saber
Kinky Saber/Rin time
Archer giving Shirou hax arm
Despite (or maybe because of) all of the above, it is done pretty well.

Medusa. She occasionally comes to the Hinata-sou to tease Shirou and ruin the girls' self-confidence. But at least the author is not GB and Shirou has not cut ties with the rest of the cast. The chapter where he goes back to Fuyuki was pretty nice.
Unfortunately, "better than GB" does not say much in this context.

This is a problem with all cross-overs, you can't focus on any side enough to satisfy either fanbase.
Medusa shows up to scare the Love Hina girls, beat up Shirou (for training purposes) and to carry him to Sakura for some lovely Mana Transfer Rituals. Not in that order... or was it?

Read most of these. Loved Kieran's and Arashi's stuff. Shinderella was truly epic, its sad to see Moczo enter a fugue-like FF writer state.

According to the author over one SpaceBattles, it's actually an open relationship. Any of them can get get together with other people if they want, or break-up the relationship(s) at any time. So a group of friends with benefits?
Considering the author knows it's not canon, he should be allowed to have a unicorn.

I am of the personal belief that the Tsukihime Remake is two years from release. It will remain as such until a release date is announced, at which time its actual release date is 6 months after that date.
