Hmm, I finished my chapter edit and watched Young Sherlock Holmes with my wife, so I think I'll take a break from arguing the colloquial use of English words and offer something constructive. First, my summary of "Welcome" as taken from AO3, since Fafnir said he needed to post a better one:
Set post-Heaven's Feel True End. Having returned to the Clock Tower following her first visit home in a year, Rin finds her studies going wrong thanks to unfinished business left behind. Sent back by her mentor to solve the problem, her return to her home is interrupted by an unexpected guest, and things she should have already realized.
And now some links and summaries for at least two of the things I recced (I3uster and Moczo haven't made official postings of theirs, and I3uster has specifically expressed that he intends to give "Venom" some heavy edits, so probably the rec should be delayed):
A Wingman's Woes by Bloble. It occurs to a girlfriend-less Arihiko that his best friend lives in a mansion with "three smoking babes" and uses the Power of Friendly Nagging to arrange an introduction. That goes just about as well as anyone but Arihiko would have expected. A bit predictable, but a source of much laughter in the execution.
Meaning by Santo. The story of Kotomine Kirei's fight, literal and figurative, against his slide into darkness and the tempations of his future self. Both brutal and poignant in its despair; it may just make you weep for the Troll Lord.
