I live in the Pacific Northwest of America. The place where Twilight takes place. I don't really need to go on a trip overseas for nature hiking.

The worst in that regard is the shrine near Akihabara.

In the far distant future all shrines will have lost their original meaning and instead they will be known as the places to celebrate cute anime characters.

Ah, yes, the far distant future of next generation.
    Ragnarok, come day of wrath
That fallen souls might bear our plea.
    To hasten the Divine's return.
    O piteous Wanderer.

    George_Washington.jpg

    Class
    : Rider
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Lawful good
    True Name: George Washington

    Parameters

    Strength: D (B)
    Endurance: C (A)
    Agility: D (B)
    Mana: E (D)
    Luck: B (A+)
    Noble Phantasm: C

*stats in parentheses represent the stats of Rider if the war were to take place in the United States

    Class Skills

    Magic Resistance

E: Magic Damage is reduced somewhat.

    Riding

B: Most vehicles can be handled with above average skill. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasm Races such as Monstrous Beast

    Personal Skills

    Charisma

B: Suitable for a king of a country. Rider was unanimously elected the leader of the United States and could have been king if he wished.

    Military Tactics

D: A small bonus is gained when dealing with enemy Anti-army Noble Phantasms or when using one's own Anti-army Noble Phantasm. Rider possesses an illustrious military career. Although he has been defeated by an enemy's superior tactics before he has also defeated armies larger than his own and lead the Americans to victory in the Revolutionary War.

    Protection from ice

D: Increased defense when dealing with cold conditions or Ice based attacks. This skill stems from Rider dealing with the harsh cold conditions of the Valley Forge and other harsh winters during the Revolutionary War.

    Bravery

C: The success of mental interference skills against Rider decreases greatly. Rider was known to be very brave in life often using daring strategies against enemies at his own risk.

    Noble Phantasms

    Cherry Chopper: Honesty's reward
    Rank:
    D
    Type: Anti-Unit

This Noble Phantasm takes the form of an ax. The Noble Phantasm is a crystallization of a famous legend from Rider's youth in which he chopped down his
father's beloved cherry tree and admitted to the crime stating
"I can't tell a lie, Pa." While this Noble Phantasm is normally just a weak ax that can cause harm to servants it has the ability to do more damage the more Rider consecutively strikes his opponent.

Once Washington lands a hit on an opponent each strike after the first will do more and more damage so long as he lands hits on an opponent within a short time period of each other. The ability stacks against people separately. For example if Rider were to strike an opponent many times the power of Cherry Chopper would only increase against that particular opponent at that particular time and if Rider were to strike a separate opponent in the same battle Cherry Chopper's power would be very weak .

Theoretically if allowed to strike at an opponent for a very long time Cherry Chopper's strike could become equal to an Excalibur blast against that particular opponent and still only be a weak strike against someone else at the same time. If Washington ever tells a lie this weapon becomes unusuable.

    Crossing Delaware: Victory from Surprise
    Rank: D (C)

    Type: Anti-army

The Noble Phantasm takes the form of a Durham Boat. The boat is able to move and maneuver in the air with good agility. Washington commonly rides this Noble Phantasm in battle to increase his maneuverability. The true ability of this Noble Phantasm is the representation of the famous event during the Revolutionary War in which Rider and his army crossed the Delaware river to perform a surprise attack on Hessians in Trenton, New Jersey.

This ability can only be activated when Rider is inside the boat and when he activates it a crew of people appears on the boat and Rider and any group of people he chooses gain presence concealment B. Efficiency of attack is not decreased when preparations to make an attack are taken during presence concealment while this Noble Phantasm is activated.

Also when Rider attacks with this Noble Phantasm activated a feeling of surprise and fear comes over the object of his attack. This feeling is actually a mental interference effect and it increases in effectiveness the more enemies Washington attacks while this Noble Phantasm is activated. For example if Washington attacks an army while Crossing Delaware is activated the mental interference's effect is increased when compared to being used against a single unit.

Finally if the opponent has no prior idea of the Noble Phantasms effect the damage is and mental interference effectiveness is doubled. This Noble Phantasm would almost be more fit for that of an Assassin class rather than a Rider class.

    Class: Saber
True Name: Charlemagne a.k.a the King of Warriors
    Gender: Male
    Height: 1.84 m
    Alignment: Lawful Good

Appearance: The advent of plate armor had yet to arrive during the time that Saber lived, but that doesn’t stop Arthur and Mordred from having some so bear with me on this. Most of his body is covered by the blue cloak he is noted to have worn. Underneath his cloak chain mail covers most of his body. The full lengths of his arms are guarded by simple steel spaulders, vambraces, and gauntlets, the spaulders and vambraces are worn over the cloak. His legs are protected by greaves that aren’t readily visible because they are generally concealed by his cloak. Sabatons protect his feet.

Physically he is an imposing figure as he is nearly 2 meters tall but slender in build rather than being bulky and robust like say the King of Conquerors. His hair is golden blonde and shoulder length and a thick but well-kept beard is worn on his jaw. He has a warm smile and inviting blue eyes.

    Personality
: The King of Warriors is jovial and not unlike the King of Conquerors and often finds great pleasures in excess drinking, eating, and merry making. Having had ten wives and concubines and sired 18 children in life he is very much a ladies man. He's never seen a maiden he hasn't wanted to bed and his attitude towards woman could be a problem if he is summoned by one or if he faces one in combat. He takes pleasure in all of life, but is almost paradoxically devout religious nature. He views the Holy Grail War as the ultimate blaspheme and wishes to destroy the grail, as a result he can only be summoned by one who has no wish for the grail to grant or wants to destroy it as well.

    Strength
    B+
    Endurance A
    Agility B
    Magic C
    Luck B
    Noble Phantasm A

    Class Skills:

    Riding:
The expertise to ride animals and vehicles.
B: Most vehicles can be handled with above average skill. However, cannot ride the likes of Phantasm Races such as Monstrous Beasts.

Magic Resistance: Grants protection against magical effects.
A: Cancel spells of A-Rank or below. In practice, the Servant is untouchable to modern magi, so it would not be an exaggeration to title the Servant a "Magus Killer". The reasoning behind this is linked to his conquest of the pagan Saxons in the face of pagan shamans and his high piety brought on by becoming protector of the papacy after removing the Lombards from power in Northern Italy and invading Muslim ruled Iberia.

    Personal Skills:

Charisma: The natural talent to command an army. Increases the ability of allies during group battles.
A: Where a simple king can afford to have B ranked Charisma an Emperor and conqueror of half a continent has needs greater than that.

Prana Burst: Is the increase in performance caused by infusing one's weapons and body with magical energy and instantly expelling it. Simply put, recreating the effect of a jet burst by expending large amounts of prana.
A: A normal weapon that is not on the level of a divine mystery can be destroyed in one blow. Raises defense in several times.

    Divinity
: is the measure of whether one has Divine Spirit aptitude or not. At high levels one is treated as a mixed race of a Divine Spirit, and the level declines when the Heroic Spirit's own rank as a Monster, Demonic Beast raises. It can also decrease due one's dislike for the gods. It also has an effect which reduces special defensive values called "purge defense" in proportion to the Divinity's Rank. It can break through Skills such as Protection of the Faith and Enlightenment of the Sacred Fig.
C: Though his Sainthood was repealed his beatification, the fact that his legend says he was given the sword Durendal by an angel, and his role in expanding the Catholic Church into Northern Europe, and as protector of the papacy puts him on rank with St. George.

    Noble Phantasms:

    Joyeuse - Blade's Prismatic Spectrum
    Type: Anti-unit
    Rank: c
    Range: 1-2
    Maximum number of targets: 1
Based off the legend that Joyeuse shown like an iridescent rainbow, this NP breaks Joyeuse’s blade into seven projected likenesses, like the seven main colors of the rainbow. None are the actual blade and yet all of them are, in this state so long as one of the blades defends against a blow all of them do, but that isn’t the case with blocking the blade. Blocking one of the spectrum blades temporarily causes the sword to be randomly fixed in the position of one of its other projections. In most cases the enemy is unable to block the relocated fractured blade and it requires A or higher luck or B or higher agility to stand a chance at being able to block the relocated fixed attack.

Joyeuse - The Lord’s Divine Wrath
    Type: Anti-Army
    Rank: A+
    Range:1-50
    Maximim number of targets: 800
Upon saying the swords true name, Saber holds the blade above his head, and the blade begins to glow with and opalescent light. Drawing energy from the fragment of the Lance of Longinus within its pommel the blade swells with magical energy and when swung releases a torrent of nearly blinding white hot light from the tip of the sword along the traced slash, similar in effect to Clarent Blood Arthur.

    Class: Archer
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral
    True Name: Nimrod the Hunter

    Parameters

    Strength: B
    Endurance: B
    Agility: C
    Mana: C
    Luck: A
    Noble Phantasm: EX

    Class Skills

    Independent Action

    • B:Capable of remaining in this world for two days without an established contract. Also capable of living on for a short period of time after suffering extensive damage on his spiritual core.

    Magic Resistance

    • D: Cancel Single-Action spells. Magic Resistance of the same degree of an amulet that rejects magical energy.

    Personal Skills

    Unified Language

    • EX: The language of Ancient Babylonia that can act as a powerful form of telepathy and hypnotism. Nimrod was the king directly responsible for the loss of the Unified Language but could speak it before humanity was cursed due to the Tower of Babel.

    Charisma

    • A: Can be said to have achieved the greatest level of popularity as a human being. Nimrod was the undisputed king of a unified humanity.

    Noble Phantasms

    Cedar Bow: Bane of Beasts
    Rank: B~A++
    Type: Anti-Unit

A bow made of the legendary Cedar wood that was guarded by Humbaba the Terrible. When Nimrod was named king of Babylon he inherited the leftover Cedar wood from the Era when the great Gilgamesh ruled. From this wood he fashioned a bow. The bow is responsible for Nimrod's reputation as the greatest (and first) hunter of his era. The bow has a high "Anti-Beast" attribute to it making the bow extremely effective against Monstrous, Phantasmal, and Divine beasts. With this bow Nimrod is capable of taking down Medusa's pegasus and even Alexander's divine bulls with a single arrow.

Tower of Babel: Man surpasses the Heavens
    Rank: EX
    Type: Anti-World

    tower-of-babel.jpg

The Tower of Babel is Nimrod's ultimate Noble Phantasm. Based on the legendary tower built under Nimrod's rule that was destroyed by God out of fear for Humanity's potential. This event was the cause of the loss of the Unified Language. It is a reality marble that contains the legendary Tower of Babel, which is an enormous tower with seemingly limitless height and great thickness. The tower itself represents the "limitless potential of mankind".

Within this reality marble those with high Divinity find themselves overwhelmed and their parameters are lowered by the Tower's mere presence. Nimrod himself gains a significant power boost from the tower which imbues him with the "limitless potential of mankind". This power boost can be compared to the power boost Arcueid gains from the Counter Force except that the boost Nimrod gains is not reliant on the opponent he is facing. The power gained from the tower can make Nimrod equal to that of a god.

The weaknesses of this Noble Phantasm is that tons of mana is required to activated it. A rough estimate is 5 times the amount needed for Ionian Hetaroi. Also if one possesses the destructive power to destroy the Tower the Reality Marble is dispelled and its boons are negated. Although the destructive power needed to destroy the Tower is very high. There exists at least one Noble Phantasm that is without a doubt capable of destroying the Tower in a single strike (EA).

Hrm, placeholder spot while i edit in some thoughts on prior posted Servants, but in the meantime...

Truth be told, this is only half-finished, but i feel kind of demotivated on it since Semiramis' poison NP ended up being almost exactly the kind of thing i was drafting for this. i knew there was likely to be overlap, but i still hoped it wouldn't be too close, lol. Any way, i'll clean this up later, but posting her for the NP.

i mostly just wanted to use Nero's mom because she had a really great manga design and i kind of liked the idea of an Assassin who operates entirely on blackmail. i'll likely fill this out later.

    -----

    Class: Assassin
    True Name: Agrippina
    Alignment: Neutral Evi

    Statistics:
    Strength: E
    Endurance: E
    Agility: C
    Mana: b
    Luck: C
    Noble Phantasm: C

    Class Skills:
    Presence Concealment
    Rank: D

    Personal Skills:
    Subversive Activities
    Rank: B

    Noble Phantasm:
Ara Agrippinensium- Plot of the Three Daggers
    Type: Anti-Unit
    Rank: C
Thought to have poisoned even her own child as a means of controlling her (and through her, the empire), many other deaths are thought to have been traced to Assassin's ruthless ambition and political maneuvering, though few were ever really confirmed. Not even the method of her alleged poisonings are consistent: whether food, drink, or unknown source, many of her adversaries and obstacles died mysteriously, and only a scarce few are confirmed to have been poisoned for certain.

As a result, Assassin's very presence may be considered "poisonous," requiring no single method of delivery other than mere proximity to her. Gradually, any liquid within a certain radius of her body is slowly but permanently transmuted into a potent poison - whether it is the trace elements of water in food, a liquid itself, or even the blood in one's body, all are slowly corrupted by the overbearing influence of Assassin's poisonous ambitions. Due to the delivery mechanism being her own malicious aura, this conversion may only take place while Presence Concealment is disabled, requiring skillful manuevering, confidence, and posturing on her part to initiate.

Additionally, units afflicted with her poisons may also develop negative personal skills ranging from Weak Constitution and Migraine to Evaporation of Sanity that persist for as long as the poison is afflicting them. Personal skills added in this way begin at rank E and increase one rank for each day the poison remains in effect. At rank A, + modifiers are attached instead that intensify the effect in Assassin's presence, allowing her to ultimately cripple them if need be.

However, Assassin is able to bestow 'antidotes' to the effect, either permanently or temporarily completely negating the negative impact of her poisons. Up to three individual units may be immunized from this Noble Phantasm's effect at any given time, with one dose typically being reserved for her own Master. The two extra allow Assassin a powerful bartering tool - if she is able to infect enemy Masters, or even Servants, she may use this Noble Phantasm as a bargaining chip to control the enemy and force them into an alliance with her on her own terms. This allows her to supplement her complete lack of fighting ability, but means that she must first manage to stay in the presence of a target for long enough to corrupt them.

Assassin is quick to point out that the effect does not end with her death, and that only she can provide the antidote (which must be reapplied regularly unless she desires it to last longer). While it is possible to survive her poison after killing her, survival is not guaranteed, and there is no telling how long the penalties may linger - but it is most likely certain they would persist longer than the duration of the Holy Grail War, assuming they can be cured at all.

He *does* have a sword. It's just that it's not a Noble Phantasm.

    Sevant info:
    Spoiler:

    "Am I adopted?"

    Name:
Asterion, Star of Crete, Bull of Minos
    Class: Saber
    Gender: Male
    Alignment: Lawful Neutral

    Strength: B+
    Endurance: B+
    Agility: C
    Mana: D
    Luck: E
    Noble Phantasm: A

    Skills
    Spoiler:
    Class Skills:

    Magic Resistance: A+
Being a half-Divine Beast Saber from the age of gods, Asterion is effectively untouchable by magecraft. Weapons of all kinds (including Noble Phantasms) enhanced by magecraft have their effectiveness greatly reduced.

    Riding: D
Capable of handling living mounts (horses, camels, etc.) and vehicles pulled by such animals (wagons, chariots, carriages) with great skill. Anything more complex is beyond the Servant's capacity.

    Personal Skills:

    Divinity: A+ (E-)
While normally being half-Divine Beast, one-quarter Titan and one-quarter oceanid would grant one an extremely high Divinity rank, Asterion suffers a huge penalty due to his monstrous nature.

    Monstrous Strength: A
Strength and Endurance are both boosted by one rank. However, the longer this skill remains active, the more bovine Asterion's appearance becomes.

True Face of a False Legend: B
A skill possessed by those whose identity was greatly distorted, causing great difficulty to identify the Servant. Asterion's legend was distorted to the point where even his name was forgotten. Even after activation of his Noble Phantasm, his identity would still be difficult to determine; only activating his Monstrous Strength skill would make it easier.

    Noble Phantasm
    Spoiler:
Αρένα της Κρήτης – Compete for Noble Slaves

    Anti-Unit, Anti-Army Rank A

A reproduction of Androgeus' funeral games, held in Knossos, where very 7 years, 7 young men a 7 maidens from the noble families of Athens would be offered as a prize for the winner.

This Noble Phantasm targets Asterion himself, as well as any number of other Servants he wishes that he currently sees. Upon activating it, all of them will become completely unable to perform attacks or activate Noble Phantasms, and will be forced to stay at their current location. Each of their Masters will then be forcibly transported nearby, and will too be unable to leave. The Masters will then be forced to engage in combat against eachother, being able to use of any means avaible to them to defeat their opponents. Once only one Master remains alive or conscious, the contract between the defeated Masters and their Servants will be terminated, and the control of the Servants will be given to the winner.

    Nasuverse Lore
    Spoiler:
The fruit of an ancient Cretan ritual, in which the king's wife would be offered to sleep with a manifestation of Poseidon. Son of Pasiphae and the Cretan Bull, Asterion was hailed by the people of Crete as a gift from the gods, their own hero. Yet, there is no record of his adventures, of his journey, of the battles he fought and the foes he defeated. All that is left of him is an Athenian tale about a bull-headed demon locked inside a grand maze, slain by the then prince of Athens, Theseus.

In reality, there never was a Labyrinth. What they did have in Knossos was a colossal arena, designed by Daedalus on the request of King Minos, to host Androgeus' funeral games, who had been killed by Athenians after his many victories at the Panathenaic Games. In order to repay for this cold and senseless murder, Minos required that the prize of the games would be 14 noble athenian youths, offered as slaves. The games were held four times, and Asterion won all four. However, on the fourth time the games were held, one of the men offered as a prize was Theseus, son of the Athenian king. On the night after Asterion's victory, Theseus sneaked in Asterion's bedroom and killed him while he sleeped, and then fled back to Athens. And for decades, the Athenians worked hard to mask this assassination as a great battle between a young prince and a savage monster.

Thus was Asterion's tale forgotten by the world, and the legend of the Minotaur was born.

Normally appearing as a middle-aged Cretan man equipped with a bronze sword, shield and armor, Asterion's appearance is greatly altered upon activating his Monstrous Strength: he'll grow a pair of horns, thick brown fur, a bovine tail, his feet will turn into hooves, and so on. The end result is a monster so strong, it does not need weapons to deal great damage. Yet even in such form, Asterion fully retains his sanity. He never used this ability during the funeral games, for he believed it would be unfair to other competitors.

Asterion is a serious man, and is deeply concerned with justice. One will find it very difficult to convince him to attack a foe that has not attacked him first. If paired with a Master who is less than exemplar, he might as well activate his Noble Phantasm hoping to gain someone more virtuous as the new Master.

    War Elephant

Currently the greatest land animals known to man, elephants are large mammals with strong, resilient bodies, long lifespans and – supposedly – high intellects. Traditionally treated as objects of human reverence, they were often regarded as sacred beasts or manifestations (avatars) of gods in ancient times. Even in present days, they commonly appear as characters in fables and fairy tales for children.

The now extinct mastodons and mammoths were genuine members of the Phantasmal Beasts of the Age of Gods. As their distant relatives, modern elephants also inherited some degree of that mystic nature. This is particularly true in regards the elephant that this Servant rides, due to being a long-lived specimen born in the vague period that was the closing days of the Age of Gods and the outbreak of the Modern Era. Although classified as a wild beast, its performance does not fall short from your average Magic Beast.

This is a digression, but the practice of capturing elephants and taming・training them for war had its origins in ancient India, and would later lowly spread to neighboring regions. Towards west, it reached up to Northern Africa. To the east, it went as far as China and Southeast Asia.

    Hai Bà Trung

Foundation of the Rebellion. The other Noble Phantasm shared by the Trung sisters, which they are furnished with only when summoned as one of the Three Knights Classes. The symbol (trump card) that display their true worth as Heroic Spirits.

The land of Vietnam possesses a long history of being under the domain of the neighboring country of China. In that meantime, countless heroes arose and attempted to free their motherland from foreign oppression. Among those, the Trung sisters are regarded as a peculiar case among peculiar cases.

Although short-lived, their rebellion was the first successful example in recorded history of Vietnam imposing retribution over China. Consequentially, many of the heroes that came after the sisters extolled their names as they fought; claiming that they had inherited the sisters’ will, that their strength derived from the sisters. Even earlier heroes would eventually be target of analogies with them in the eyes of the people. It wouldn’t be exaggeration to say that the two became a cornerstone of Vietnamese resistance.

This Noble Phantasm is a crystallization of these unique circumstances.

Upon being summoned as a Servant, she will be granted temporary possession of a Noble Phantasm that originally belonged to another Vietnamese national hero. Since it is just a provisional ownership, some restrains will naturally be placed over its usage. However, for the duration of this summon, it will be certainly be recognized as her own Noble Phantasm.

Some examples of articles that can be selected in this manner include the divine crossbow of Thục Phán and the magic sword of Lê Loi. However, in order to gain possession of weapons of such caliber, it becomes necessary to be summoned in a land where she possesses high popularity. It is thus safe to say that this Noble Phantasm can only display its true worth in her homeland of Vietnam.

    CLASS SKILLS

    Magic Resistance: C
The capacity to negate or abate the effects of Magecraft. Negates Magecraft with an aria of two verses or less. Cannot defend against large-scale Magecraft such as High-Thaumaturgy or Greater Rituals.

    Riding: B
The technical skill to mount on vehicles. It also displays its effects on mechanized vehicles. If it is an ordinary vehicle, then he can manage it better than an average person. It is also possible to control wild beasts that have never been tamed by humans, but he is unable to drive Phantasm Species of Magic Beast and Holy Beast rank such as Pegasus, Gryphon or the Dragon Species.

    ...if an Archer

    Independent Action: E
The ability to take action even without the prana supply from the Master. Convenient in cases like when the Master wants to activate a Magecraft that calls up maximum prana or when he cannot supply enough prana to the Servant. On another hand, it becomes difficult for the Master to put the Servant under his complete control. But at the lowest level, he merely has a little bit more freedom than regular Servants.

On a side note, in the case she is summoned as a Saber, reverse the ranks of the Magic Resistance and Riding Skills between each other.

    PERSONAL SKILLS

    Bravery: C
The ability to negate mental interference such as pressure, confusion and fascination. There is also an effect of increasing the melee damage inflicted on the enemy.

Eye of the Mind (True): B
Insight cultivated from training and learning. The “logic of battle” to calmly grasp one’s situation and the abilities of the enemy and finding out a means of escape when in a dilemma. If the possibility of a reversal is even 1%, a chance can be pulled out by putting this strategy into practice.

    Military Tactics: C
Tactical knowledge used not for one-on-one combat situations, but for battles where many are mobilized. Bonus modifiers are provided during use of one’s own Anti-Army Noble Phantasm or dealing against an enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasm.

    Shukuchi: A
The technique to instantly shorten the distance between yourself and the opponent. The acme of walking methodology that many masters of martial arts, fighting systems pursue. Not simple quickness, but something accomplished by intertwining many phenomena such as walking methodology, body-arrangement, breathing and blind spots. Upon reaching the highest grade of A Rank, this already becomes a dimensional jump – surpassing the level of technique and falling into the category of a Taoist secret.

    Weapons

    Dha swords
Rider’s basic weapons, which she employs in a dual-wielding style. Short swords possessing curved, single-edge blades. Although believed to have its origins in the Indochina peninsula, it is difficult to make a definite statement as for exactly where and when this type of sword was created.

Incidentally, it is possible to notice a strong influence of Chinese aesthetics in the ornaments of these particular swords.

    NOBLE PHANTASM

Sông Cái – Wash Away the Invaders
    Rank: C++
    Type: Anti-Army
In life, one of the favorite tactics employed by the army of the Trung sisters was a full-charge attack from their platoons of war elephants. With their large size, resistant bodies and prodigious strength, they could run across large areas with impunity even in most dangerous of battlefields – laying waste on everything on their path. At the time, the widespread devastation caused by an stampede of elephants was often likened to the raging waters of the Red River in times of flood, which would wash away any and all traces of man (impurities) from the land.

This Noble Phantasm is activated by calling its true name while setting the war elephant into a wild rush. Large amount of river waters will then be summoned and made to follow after Rider and her mount. These mystic waters (which at times seems to take a shape resembling elephants) will then bring forth destruction befitting a natural disaster.

Incidentally, the Trung sisters are Heroic Spirits with a strong connection to the Red River. It cuts through the territory of Mê Linh, where they were born and raised. Legend goes that, once finally cornered by the Chinese army, they chose to throw themselves into these waters rather than surrender to the enemy. Afterwards, they were carried to the world of spirits and given eternal refuge (this tale bears similarities to how King Arthur was brought into the fairyland of Avalon).

Also, this is a digression, but one of the first oaths that Trung Trac made upon raising the banner of rebellion was that she would wash away all foreign enemies from the land of Vietnam...

    Background
    BACKGROUND

Hai Bà Trung (Trung sisters). The patriotic heroines who stood up against oppression and eventually put an end to a period of foreign control over their homeland. Even in modern times, their deeds are seen as instrumental for the future establishment of Vietnam as an independent nation.

Around the year of 12 A.D., the twin sisters were born as the esteemed daughters of an influential feudal warlord. Hoping to raise outstanding leaders, their father placed them under a strict education since an early age. Receiving both martial training and academic instruction, they received a rearing worthy of princesses (under the meaning of prospect rulers).

This is a digression, but in ancient Vietnam the notion of gender role was extremely feeble, and there was no such a thing as a career seen as taboo to a specific sex. As such, a woman becoming a feudal lord or military leader was nothing special.

On a further digression, although there is no conclusive evidence, some sources hint that the sisters were descendants of the Hùng Kings, who once ruled Vietnam prior to the arrival of the Chinese…

With the passing of years, the pair of girls grew into two proud ladies. With their outstanding talents and beauty, the sisters converged the respect and admiration of all onto themselves. Not only the common folk, but also even the local elite of statesmen and military commanders began to look up to the two as their leaders. This could have been the beginning of a peaceful and prosperous story…

…had only the sisters being born in a different time or place.

The Vietnam of the early 1st Century was a vassal state; just a few decades prior, it had been invaded and conquered by the Han dynasty of China.

At first, the defeated nation was simply required to pay periodic tributes to the Chinese Imperial House. However, as time passed China began to interfere more and more with Vietnam. National economy was tampered with to benefit Chinese interests. In politics, local nobility and institutions were gradually replaced with an administration loyal to the foreign suzerains. Extensive cultural imperialism would denature art, religion, local traditions and even language – slowly depriving the people of their national identity.

By the time the two sisters reached adulthood, the general mood had long passed the boiling point. After a particularly grave incident caused popular discontent to explode, the situation fell past the point of no return and a large-scale armed revolt against the foreign oppression became inevitable. And, as if only natural, the Trung sisters rose to spearhead said revolt.

Under their leadership, the rebel army drove out the Chinese and their loyalists from Vietnamese lands. Afterwards, a new, independent nation was established from the 65 fiefdoms that had been set free, with the oldest of the Trung sisters crowned as its queen. Vietnam would then enjoy with pride the restoration of its former glory.

But that period of happiness was much too short. Roughly three years later, China sent a punitive expedition to quash the rebel forces and reclaim the territories taken. Chinese forces included about 10,000 seasoned soldiers, which were lead by a famous general that had many accomplishments under his belt. Meanwhile, the Trung sisters could barely afford a few thousand warriors, with most of those being both ill-trained and ill-equipped.

Although luck was on their side at first (it has been said that, even before the first engagement, the Chinese numbers had been greatly reduced due to disease and natural disasters), as expected they could not outdo the overwhelming difference in military potential. The Trung forces resisted with the best of their abilities, but after being successively made to retreat deeper into Vietnamese territory, they were eventually cornered and suffered a crushing defeat at the Battle of Cam Khe.

Thus, the fleeting dream of independence was over, along with the lives of the two heroines.

    Contrasting Sisters

Legends portray the Trung sisters as exceptional geniuses. Versed in the literary and military arts. Gifted with both intelligence and beauty. And above all, righteous queens who were highly capable in regards to both administering the nation and leading armies.

However, that is mostly an exaggeration. Although in part due to the fact they were twins, but the truth is that their tradition became warped as it was transmitted throughout the ages. In modern times, it already became impossible to clearly distinguish, differentiate between the two of them.

Now, while it is true that both were multi-skilled, all-rounder individuals, the fact stands that each had their own field of specialty that they excelled in more than the other. The one who possessed great charisma and abundant wisdom befitting a country’s monarch was the older sister, Trac. Meanwhile, the one with exceptional martial prowess and actually conquered military achievements worthy of a hero was the younger sister, Nhi.

Also, the only one who truly dreamt about the independence of Vietnam was Trac. Nhi was merely obediently following after her older sister.

It was an old story, which dates years before the Trung sister’s rebellion.

Their father presented Trac as a bride to the son of a friend. The husband’s name was Thi Sách. Despite being a bright scholar entrusted with the administration of a minor fiefdom, unlike the sisters, he had neither a distinguished pedigree nor outstanding talents. A common man through and through.

Still, he had a dream. The aspiration of building the ideal country, strong enough to be independent from other nations and prosperous enough to ensure the happiness of its citizens. A wish that far exceeded his berth.

Since she had very little contact with her brother-in-law, Nhi was never able to appreciate the manner how Sách longed for something beyond his reach. However, for some reason, that way of life had a deep impact on Trac. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that she fell in love with it.

The incident that served as trigger for the rebellion; it was no other than the death of Thi Sách. Witnessing how the people was suffering under the oppressive measures, Sách went to personally meet the China-appointed viceroy of Vietnam in order to ask him to alleviate said measures. In response, the viceroy had Sách executed on the spot.

Despite struck by grief, Trac immediately stood up to fight against the Chinese. Because, more than the anguish and despair of losing her beloved, she simply couldn’t stand the thought of Sách’s wishes ending unfulfilled, his efforts going unrewarded. So, she took her husband’s dreams as her own and strove to create an ideal country in Vietnam.

But Nhi could never come to terms with that. She followed her sister in all of her decisions, faithfully supporting the path that Trac chose to pursue. Even though she saw nothing but tragedy in that.

Facing a challenge they couldn’t possible hope to win against. Leading many subjects, comrades and friends to their deaths. And, to top it off, having all their work undone, their efforts turned to nothing after everything was over.

As she knew all this very well from the beginning, Trung Nhi never saw a point in even trying in the first place. Ultimately, she never understood what her older sister was thinking, the feelings that she was harboring. That was her greatest regret in life.

There is a distinct lack of Koreans in this thread.

    Class:
    Rider
    Identity: Yi Sun-shin

    STR: C
    END: C
    AGI: B
    MGI: D
    LCK: B

    Background

Yi Sun-shin was a Korean naval commander, famed for his victories against the Japanese navy during the Imjin war in the late 1500s,
and is well-respected for his exemplary conduct on and off the battlefield not only by Koreans, but by Japanese Admirals as well.
Military historians have placed General Yi Sun-Shin on par with Admiral Horatio Nelson as arguably the greatest naval commander
in history for his undefeated record against seemingly insurmountable odds despite no background in naval training.

Perhaps his most remarkable military achievement occurred at the Battle of Myeongnyang. Outnumbered 133 warships to 13, and
forced into a last stand with only his minimal fleet standing between the Japanese Army and Seoul, he still managed to destroy
33 of 133 Japanese warships in one of the most astonishing battles in military history.

Despite never having received naval training or participating in naval combat prior to the war, and constantly being outnumbered
and outsupplied, he went to his grave as one of few admirals in world history who remained undefeated after commanding as many
naval battles as he did (at least 23). Yi died at the Battle of Noryang on December 16, 1598. With the Japanese army on the verge
of being completely expelled from the Korean Peninsula, he was mortally wounded by a single bullet. His famous dying words were,
"The battle is at its height...beat my war drums...do not announce my death."

The royal court eventually bestowed various honors upon him, including a posthumous title of Chungmugong (Duke of Loyalty and
Warfare), an enrollment as a Seonmu Ildeung Gongsin (First-class military Order of Merit), and two posthumous offices,
Yeonguijeong (Prime Minister), and the Deokpung Buwongun (The Prince of the Court from Deokpung).
Yi remains a venerated hero among Koreans today.
    Class Skills

Riding (B+): Most animals and vehicles can be handled with above average skill, especially naval vehicles.
However, the likes of Phantasmal and Divine Beasts are beyond his ability.

Magic Resistance (D): Equivalent to an anti-magic amulet. Cancels single action spells.

    Personal Skills

Bravery (C): The ability to negate mental interference such as confusion or fear caused by effects that are and equal or lower rank.

Voyager of the Storm (A): The ability to command a ship and crew. Because leadership ability
is needed, this skill also functions as Charisma and Military Tactics, each at Rank C.

Eye of Mind (True) (B): Allows for calm analysis and tactical thinking in even the most harrowing circumstances.
Even though the odds were always against him, Rider used every advantage he could in battle to gain victory.

    Noble Phantasms

    Geobukseon~Turtle Ship Fleet (B, Anti-Unit, Anti Army)

After determining that a Japanese invasion of Korea was imminent, Rider designed and commissioned these unique vessels.
Rider has a stock of 20 ships he can draw upon to summon. Each ship is 30 meters long, is covered in spiked iron plates
and is equipped with 11 cannons on each side, a ram on the prow and a multi-functional dragon head on the front.
The dragon head can produce smoke, emit poisonous gas, serve as a mount for a flamethrower and strike fear into those who see it.
On the water, it is a small fortress, completely protecting Rider from projectiles and discouraging boarding attempts while at the same
time allowing him to decimate the enemy with an onslaught of cannon fire. While on land, Rider can materialize
specific parts of the ships, allowing him to utilize the cannons, armor plates and dragon head separate from each other.
Despite its name, the turtle ship is fast and agile, able to turn on a dime; a necessity to navigate the Korean straits.

Myeongnyang~ I Still Have Thirteen Ships (C++, Support)

In a battle reminiscent of Thermopylae, Rider positioned his forces in a narrow strait, forcing the pursuing Japanese ships
into a bottleneck. Though they rushed in at full speed, the current slowed them down and left them wide open to the Korean cannons.
This Noble Phantasm recreates this event in the form of a Bounded Field generated by the spiked armor plates on the Geobukseon.
The closer an enemy gets to the armor, their AGI decreases exponentially. The effect is greatly increased when the entire ship is present,
but it can reduce an opponent's AGI by one rank if Rider conjures a few plates by themselves. With this "shield" protecting him and his
ship, speed is useless; the only hope of defeating Rider is sheer brute force.

    Class:
    Archer
    Identity: Sejong the Great

    STR: C+
    END: D+
    AGI: C+
    MGI: D+
    LCK: D

    Background

Sejong Jangheon Yeongmun Yemu Inseong Myeonghyo Daewang was the fourth king of Joseon, Korea, ascending to the throne in 1418.

Sejong reinforced Confucian policies and executed major legal amendments. He also oversaw the creation of Hangul,
encouraged advancements of scientific technology, and instituted many other efforts to stabilize and improve prosperity.
He dispatched military campaigns to the north and instituted the Samin Policy to attract new settlers to the region.
To the south, he subjugated Japanese raiders and captured Tsushima Island.

    Class Skills

Independent Action (C): Capable of surviving for 24 hours without a Master.

Magic Resistance (C): Cancels spells two verses or shorter.

    Personal Skills

Charisma (B): Suitable to be king of a country. Archer is one of only two Korean leaders to be given the appellation "the Great".

Demonic Defender of the State (B): The ability to mark a region as one's personal dominion by securing leylines.
Doing so allows him to use one of his Noble Phantasms.

Military Tactics (C): Grants tactical knowledge for engagements involving armies. Also grants bonus modifiers to attacking
with Anti-Army Noble Phantasms and defending against enemy Anti-Army Noble Phantasms. Archer was an effective military planner
and a strong advocate of the advancement of military science and technology.

    Noble Phantasms

    Heavenly Missiles~Fire of Tsushima (E-B, Anti-Unit, Anti-Army, Anti-Fortress)

The source of Sejong's designation as Archer. In contrast to other civilizations, Korean heavy firearms were not all invented to
meet the sudden emergency of war. Thanks to the efforts of several scientists and Archer himself pioneering research, their performance
improved dramatically. Archer went so far as to build a cannon range next to his Royal Court to experiment and study. This collection
of firearms is at Archer's disposal. It contains several different kinds with unique names, including (in decreasing order of size):

Heaven (1.3 m long, fires a 30 kg rocket-shaped arrow or cannonball up to 1.4 km),
    Earth (1 m long, fires a 16.5 kg shot up 1 km),
Black (0.8 m long, fires a 3.5 kg shot up to 1 km),
Yellow (0.5 m long, fires a 1.5 kg shot or 4 ordinary arrows up to 0.7 km)
and a variety of smaller handheld guns that fire balls, grapeshot or arrows.

Also of note are the Bigyeokjincholloe (a timed grenade that flings hundreds of pieces of shrapnel) and
the Hwacha (a cart-mounted rocket launcher that can fire 200 fire arrows at once at a range of 0.5 km).

    Seoul~Prime Meridian (C, Support)

Archer wanted to reform the Korean calendar system, which was at the time based upon the longitude of the Chinese capital.
For the first time in Korean history, astronomers created a calendar with the capital of Seoul as the primary meridian.
This new system allowed Korean astronomers to accurately predict the timing of solar and lunar eclipses.
By using his Demonic Defender of the State skill to seize control of local leylines, Archer can cause all of them to
converge on his location and treat them as though they are the leylines of Korea, granting him a fame boost to his STR, END
and AGI no matter where in the world he may be. Since Archer's body becomes the focal point for these leylines,
he alone can access the richest prana source in the area instantly, giving him a huge advantage.

I was going to ask why Iskandar also doesn't have some version of it and the logic I came up with is that certain effects can seal skills, so it'd be more advantageous to have them separate.

Either that or neither I nor Urobuchi thought of it.

I'm going with the first one.
