    I ended up dropping Magus Bride because it's too much a 1:1 adaptation of the manga without any new scenes.

    Thunderbolt Fantasy movie was so good. Phoenix Killer really thought Gale was his BFF and got screwed with so badly, and him killing Gale's teacher suddenly seems like an appropriate retribution. Fat Shou part was great too, Gale completely forgot about Lancer's existence, "everyone else ate lunch and went" sums up how useless they were and basically Shou carrying everyone, and he had a sympathetic backstory backed up by real Shou's motivational pep talk. The movie gives the whole picture to the other side characters in S1 and I'm hyped up by the tease for the next season.

    Somethings been really bugging me about Seven Deadly Sins this season. The first season had all the fights be gimmick vs gimmick, and even though 90% were curbstomp battles, they were entertaining and interesting. This season they suddenly start spouting off powerlevels out of nowhere and it feels way too much like Dragonball where the bigger number wins. It also takes some of the mystery out of characters. Seeing an old man wreck the protag should be a shock, not immediately ruined by a pig shouting how his power level is ten times as large.

    Powerlevels ruin everything.

    Glad to know someone else is still watching that show. I'm just at the reveal of SPOILERGowther brainwashing Guila to be his girlfriend in episode 2.

    The power-levels did strike me as a bit shoehorned in, though the show does at least mention they're not absolute and can vary with the environment and situation.
