I don't recall saying anything like that. I just find it odd since other than okayish production values I can't see what someone might find to rank it so highly. And I referenced Case Files in light of Case Files being a Type Moon work (and one of the better ones, at that) and this being a TM-related forum.

Like, I'd readily accept Cop Craft as AOTS because production issues aside the concept is original and the show does have heart put in it (big contender for OP of the season). Granbelm just felt... bland.

For you,. Stop thinking your opinions and views of shows are objective and the only truth in the world. Tone down your ego, man At the end of the day quality is more subjective than critic types like you would like to admit. You don't see me questioning the people who drop Fire Force and say it's crap despite me being highly entertained by the show, do you?. So, yeah, you stop questioning people claiming Granbelm is AOTS and great despite you finding it bland, thanks
Why must AOTS be a show you "accept"? Who the hell do you think you are? The supreme judge of taste designated as such by God Himself?. No, you and your criticisms and views of a show's quality are exactly as correct as everyone else's. Not less, but certainly not more. Seriously, your commets feel really condescending
Even if you didn't literally say "how dare you think this show I don't think is all that great is AOTS", it is very much implied by your posts and the very act of questioning IRUN over it
And in mt opinion:
Granblem doesn't have "OKayish production values". It has amazing production values and is one of the best productions this season. In terms of action, it's only matched by: Case Files (not an action show, and the shopping episode put it below Granbelm), Symphogear, Vinland Saga, Danmachi S2, Fire Force and Kimetsu no Yaiba.
6 shows out of 37. Okayish would be something like Sacred Beasts. It's also impressive for someone that isn't Sunrise to go with non-CG for mecha in this day and age

There's literally nothing wrong with questioning why people like what you don't like, or dislike what you do like. It's called "acquiring a spherical perspective". If we all sat on our individual opinions and never discussed them with one another, then wtf would be the point of having this thread to begin with?

Discussion can be had. But the tone of your posts is not about dicussion, so don't hide behind that excuse. Your posts feel condescending. Like you can't accept certain shows being someone's AOTS because you personally find their quality lacking. You keep questioning and treating different opinions as "odd", "weird", "wrong", Because you don't share them. So you must tell people how "odd" they are for not agreeing with you
Your attitude just rubs me the wrong way.

Oh, okay, sounds like a you problem then.
Though just to be clear, if anyone feels like I'm being condescending, confrontational, or insulting towards them, by all means let me know.

I mean, consider this: If we were, say, in a pub talking about women, and you said "Man, I think Jessica is the best looking" and I said "Man, what do you see in her? I think her nose is too big"* , would you be reeeing at me for questioning your judgement? Or is it only when it comes to anime that you don't want your opinions questioned?
*purely hypothetical example, obviously

Watched ep 6 of Astra Lost In Space this morning. So I was right that Ulgar wasn't the traitor, but wrong that he suspected Luca of being one either. Instead, he was just going after him out of a personal grudge against his father. Well, with Luca's big reveal in this episode it suddenly makes sense why so many viewers got confused over his gender.
To be honest, I never expected such an understanding portrayal of an intersex character in a show like this (not saying the show is dumb or bad, but it didn't strike me as the type to address these sorts of issues). Luca's condition isn't used to make him creepy, stereotypical or a fetish object, he's just a well-rounded character like all the other kids on the team (at least, the ones whose backstories we've seen). Quite refreshing.
And by the end of the episode, it looks like I was totally right in pegging Charce as one of the most likely traitor candidates. I thought his "perfect pretty-boy" act looked too good to be true... Of course there's still the possibility of a fake-out and last-minute twist, but that's where the plot seems to be leading right now.

Welp, credit where credit is due, today's (or was it yesterday's?) episode of Granbelm knocked it out of the park in terms of production values. Finally a fight with actual stakes in play, excellent character animation, and Yoko Hikasa going all out unleashing her ERRRRRRRRRNESSTAAAAAAAAAAAA's at full force.

Fire Force Episode 6: I wish the fight between Captain Hibana and Shinra would have been more drawn out, but it was still a great episode. The author really did their research when it comes to fire. I also really hope, that that's the last time they're going to outright put a black bar over something in the actual anime.

CF is in third place, and this is from my stance as a T-M fan/member of the Reines Cult. In a season that's not this one, it'd probably rank higher--it's just not as consistent as Grabelm and Cop Craft have been, in terms of pure enjoyability. Although, being a T-M fan means that I'll actually think about CF and its plots and details, whereas with Granbelm and Cop Craft I'll just remember fondly years from now as "that was some good-ass anime."
Speaking of Geah, I recently caught up on it. It's probably one of my favorite good-bad franchises. At least, it's one of my favorite magical girl titles, and one that I'd gladly pick over, say, Nanoha, any day of the week. Unless we're talking A's and the Detonation films, the best parts of Nanoha, but even then I'd still opt for anything Geah over anything Nanoha-related.

My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
