Other than Joan of Arc related material (I have five or so books about her sitting on my desk right now), the only other thing I read in recent memory is Fengshen Yanyi (well, little bits of it from the internet), since I was playing on using Su Daji as a Servant for a fic idea. Even had a fight scene of her versus Sgathaich, before I... kind of left it hanging...
Which brings up an annoyance... for some people: those authors who never finish what they've started.

I mean, it sucks, but if the author loses interest or has real life issues that get in the way, it's not like they're obligated to write. So it's understandable
Linger: Complete. August, 1995. I met him. A branch off Part 3. Mikiya keeps his promise to meet Azaka, and meets again with that mysterious girl he once found in the rain.
Shinkai: Set in the Edo period. DHO-centric. As mysterious figures gather in the city, a young woman unearths the dark secrets of the Asakami family.
The Dollkeeper: A Fate side-story. The memoirs of the last tuner of the Einzberns. A record of the end of a family.
Overcount 2030: Extra x Notes. A girl with no memories is found by a nameless soldier, and wakes up to a world of war.
I will write 10,000 words at you on the brilliance of the Iliad, Leo.

Yeah. It's totally understandable.
I think I read it (that, or the Odyssey) in a high school English class. I don't remember if I liked it or not because I only started actually enjoying what I read when I was in like 11th grade or something

isnt the illiad about some gay dude whose gay friend dies and then he sulks for days until he kills the Very Hetero man who killed the gay friend and also there's a horse at some point and the greeks are dicks?
Kelnish please go Kelnish somewhere else the adults are talking now.
No, but.
So you're very wrong.
The Trojan Horse is not in the Iliad. Also Akhilleus and Patroklos have the opportunity to sleep together but screw women instead. It's later stories which put them in a relationship. Also he sulks, then Patroklos dies, then he goes berserk. The sulking doesn't happen after Patroklos is dead.

Maybe it was the poetry.
I hate all things poetry with all the fury of a quiet but horrible-smelling simmering cauldron.
It was probably the poetry.
