Maggie was 100% safe, as were Sasha, Rick, Michonne, Carl and Daryl
I knew it was going to be Glenn but
It's too cruel
At least we're getting a full on hate vengeance arc for Maggie.. my poor lil angel she didn't deserve this
Also Thor-lite and the iPad girl need to fuck already.
Holy shit Zach remains the shittiest shit on TV and I want him to choke on his own heart and die
Carl's mom turned into a monster and he manned up and did what he had to do, this kid throws a tantrum and nukes the Statue of Liberty
Seriously what a little shithead
I hate him so much

I just finished watching a pretty interesting historical drama called Unsere Mütter, unsere Väter. It takes place in Berlin and the Eastern Front during WW2, following five friends who take different paths through the war, from 1941 to the end. Good drama and acting, and I quite liked the characters and how they were portrayed; I'm not sure about the historical accuracy, though, since WW2 isn't exactly my forte. I enjoyed it, though it's depressing throughout. I'm not sure if 3 episodes really does the subject justice, though - it wouldn't have worked as a longer series, but 5 or so would help prevent the narrative from jumping around too much and would make the scale of it feel less small.
From what I've read, one criticism is that there's no mention of concentration camps, but I don't really agree with that. Just because it's a show about Germany in WW2 doesn't mean it should be an obligation to write in the specific details of the Holocaust. Throughout the series there are slight references to concentration camps, but only what realistically fits within the framing of the narrative. Giving a decent amount of screen time to show the horrors of the concentration camps would ultimately take away from the focus on the individual characters while also making this Yet Another Holocaust Story. Not a bad thing fundamentally, but just not what this particular show is going for.
<NEW FIC!> Revolution #9: Somewhere out there, there's a universe in which your mistakes and failures never happened, and all you wished for is true. How hard would you fight to make that real?

anyone watch the crown yet
No, but I'm excited to see where this hyperintelligent hooker plot is going. Mew knows what I'm talking about.
It's old news, but my girlfriend just turned me on to Hannibal. We are halfway through season one (of three), and I am hooked like nothing I have ever seen before.
Half the time, it's like a car crash. It's so morbid, but I just can't look away.
Spoiler:
I'm catching up on TWD and Tara's solo ep was the first to make me bawl since the season's opener.. I can't believe they did another fakeout, where the fuck is Heath???
Also, Cindy's a cutie. It's a shame she's never going to show up again
TWD mid-season finale was ok
But why were they all smiling so creepy at the end with the camera all zoomed up on their faces... who writes that??
they know where they took their cues

Anybody been watching BBC's Dirk Gently? A pretty wild detective romp with some of the most bizarre characters and plot-twists I've seen in a while (at least in western media). Reminded me a lot of Occultic;Nine when I first started watching it actually, with the gristly murders, tangled plot featuring tons of quirky characters and fantastical elements.
Goddamn that finale of The Good Place was so good, Ted Danson smirk sold the whole thing.
So Viking just finished S04.
Whole season is very fluctuating in quality

Currently (like, actually) finishing Apocrypha 3
Uh, the one with mutants.
I look forward to the revelation that the entire show is taking place in the snow globe of an autistic child.
