Use image optimizer to convert those kilobytes into a smaller and easier to handle form. It also resizes pictures, but you have to work with it a tad bit.

I get the feeling he wanted to use that running Gil gif though.
Oh that thing? Then yeah, gif's won't work with what I just said.

Wow, that's such a ghetto way of causing compression data loss, Cruor. I'm sort of... impressed.
Well, some people don't have a need for graphics software beyond MS paint.
^pretty much.

Not even resizing something? Personally, I use Irfanview, and all it is, is a super light program that can crop things, resize, and save things with various amounts of compression.
It can also do batch stuff, but not very important. Batch renaming or batch recompression *shrug*
A take-back-vote option in the polls, expansion of how many you're allowed to pick, and chicken with extra dip. And yes, I would like fries with that.

OK, a couple of things that would be useful.
First, is it possible to allow a poll to contain more than 10 options? That's not enough for a lot of the polls we have on here. Secondly, is there any way to add the ability to change your vote once you've made it? Because it makes deciding things a lot more difficult if you can't, and also encourages people to wait until the last possible moment before voting.
*Edit* hah, sniped....
You forgot the extra dip.

Preach on, brotha. I also use Irfanview for daily pic viewing. Editing, though, it's either rockin' the oldschool Paint Shop Pro 7.02, or using GIMP 2.6.
Not sure if this is possible... but I think I can edit poll votes.
I could certainly up the number of maximum choices... but really, what sort of practical maximum would it be?

Yeah, but summoning a mod every time we want to change our vote isn't exactly an optimum solution....
I dunno, something that actually allows us to vote on all the options in question, rather than limiting us so ridiculously? I mean, 10 choices isn't anything like enough for a "favourite character" poll or even for the polls Lantz is doing.I could certainly up the number of maximum choices... but really, what sort of practical maximum would it be?
I think 20 or or so might be fine.
Unless someone intends to do a Shoryuma-sized poll and put in every single fucking named character (how do you even do that?). Actually, maybe 25-30? Those 'favorite pairing of 20XX' always had lots of choices. I dunno.

Or you could do such votes in a tournament, you know.
30 characters, 3 rounds with 10 characters each, top three advance to a fourth round...
There's ways to split stuff.

And they become a more accurate representation of who's actually the most liked, too.
Yes, but that's beside the point. Just because there are, in certain circumstances, ways around such problems (in others, such as Lantz's poll, there aren't, really), that doesn't mean that the existing system is adequate. People just want a "which character is my favourite" poll, not a tournament....
There is no good reason why it should be limited to only 10 options in a poll, and I can't imagine that it's hard to change, so why are you so resistant to doing so? Just because that's the "default" setting, it doesn't mean that it's the best setting.
Well, not really. To do that, you'd have to split the poll into much smaller chunks (preferably pairs), which becomes very hard to organise.
