-1 to Nerve Damage. The basic premise sounded like a set-up for a cracky humor piece. Then that's not what it was at all. The author playing this silly idea for serious, and then adding on about another 25 silly ideas on top of it drove the story from unpalatable to caustic in no time at all. It also really doesn't help that most of the additional elements tacked on have been done better elsewhere.

I had some problems with the plot, and then work went to hell around August, but that's behind me now, and I'm hoping to have the next chapter out sometime in December.

(With my track record, that means you can probably expect it in February. )
