From Fake Dreams - It took about 20 chapters before getting to the 5th Grail War. Now that's not automatically bad, but that time was spent giving Shirou all sorts of power and skill you can't help but scream "Gray Stu," and the OC was irritating. It's like all those Naruto fix fics that changes his childhood for the sole purpose of making him super badass.
The Hill of Swords - Shirou doesn't feel like any version of Shirou we know of. Apparently he's supposed to be a Shirou from neither routes, but because we were never shown how this Shirou ended up like this it came out as OOC instead. It's also falls into, or maybe more accurately started, the Zero no Tsukaima crossover trend of having the summon change little on how the story goes, what with the Vestri duel, Fouquet, Invasion of Albion and whatnot still happening at all, even if there are some changes (stopped reading after chapter...16, IIRC). Also, Shirou traces weapons from other series just for the sake of cameos, nevermind he has better stuff in his arsenal. Of course, this is still better compared to...
In Flight - Gah, so much words, so little plot progression. Too many expositions on Nasu stuff that has little relevance to the story. Some may think that GB has done so much research he can't resist the temptation to show off a bit...but he got Fragarach wrong. Also, the harem aspect is far more annoying than average.

+1 to The Lives and Times of Kaleido Shirou, the quality varies but it's most of the stuff is above average, I heartily recommend it if you think the idea of a sliders style Shirou who keeps Archer's low luck rating appeals to you.
+1 to Chaotic Experience as well, the infamous piece that has made Santo stay in denial, it also features the very rare Shirou/Ayako pairing.

I am of the personal belief that the Tsukihime Remake is two years from release. It will remain as such until a release date is announced, at which time its actual release date is 6 months after that date.
