i gave it a pass back in Orleans since they were still finding a groove but the dialogue here keeps going the other way

I think it depends on when the Servant was alive. Like in FSN everyone except Kojiro was from mythical times, and everyone knows older is better. Meanwhile in Shimousa all the Servants are only like 400-500 years old, so they were pretty much normal humans when alive because magic had pretty much faded by then.

And for Shuten and Raikou (that lived 1000 years ago and are oni) is said that they WERE stronger when they were alive.

IIRC, they said Servants were stronger alive specifically because of the mana thing- if they have to spend a bunch of their mana keeping themselves from being noped out of existence by the world, they can't go as far and do as much damage. If you're a ghost running on fumes, you're already dead. Meanwhile, your living Servant can toss out NPs willy nilly, because they aren't gonna die from having a 0% full mana tank, they'll just eat and sleep and be back to full in a few days.

Then you have the guys who became way stronger after becoming Servants, like Iskander, Tesla, and anybody else who embodies some HUMANITY FUCK YEAH deal.

Being a Servant adds the class abilities to you, materializes your epic tales in NPs and skills form, allows you to go in spirit form, lets you survive terrible wounds if your spirit core is not damaged and can boost you with your popularity.
On the other side, you have to expend magical energy to survive, your stats depend on how much magical energy your master can provide to you (and this can weaken you), and you posses only a fraction of all the skills and weapons you had in life due to the class container.

He's going to be permanently added to the FP gacha, you'll be swimming in Inshuns soon. Gotta say, I really like his NP animation though...shame it's almost useless.

Are you joking? His NP is busted. 50% attack buff, 100% crit buff, evasion, stargen boost. He's a crit monster since he can very easily have a 200% crit bonus and 100% attack bonus active. You can also add a 20% attack bonus on top of that due to the defense debuff.

Well, when I wrote that I was under the impression that the buffs only lasted one turn, but even so those buffs still only apply to his just average attack stat and painful QQAAB deck. Unless he's soloing (in which case you dun fucked up not bringing any of the Cuckroaches instead) all those buffs will impact maybe one or two cards, which also probably won't crit because even with all the stargen buffs (that he probably won't be able to use anyway) his star gather stat is also merely average. He's a 3* Servant with an almost completely selfish kit, what'd you expect?

that he is. he doesn't have the doggo's survivability but he makes do in way, way more damage.

Dropped 6 tickets hunting for Inferno, and only got new assassin. Did a 10 roll and only got a single Fergus and a bunch of CE's I'd already MLB'd. Did a couple more story quests, got enough quartz for a another 10 and got not only Inferno, but an extra 2030 and Imaginary Element which means I can MLB both.

Hm... Is it just me, or does that Ch. 7 fight feel a bit tough to do without reviving? I might have been unlucky with getting crit, but still feel like I would have ended up needing to use them even if I hadn't been crit once.
