While I never really mind striving for the best, but why a second masters? Unless it's just for personal achievement, that is really unecessary and expensive.

You lucky bums. It'll be hard enough going back for my first Masters, so I am holding off until I get decent work. This coming from a person who got Dean's List 5 semesters in a row while working. Having more debt right now is a no go for me.then again uni is free here

I'm not sure I'll want/be able to keep working in the big telco business for too long, so I'm considering becoming a middle/high school math teacher at some point.

A Master is something normal to achieve in Europe nowadays, no wonder Austria raised requirements.
Masters are not required for anything here.
I was looking at jobs in Europe and they required masters and I was like 'huh?' then I realized.
Normally it works the other way: First you start being a teacher and when you burn out you take the soul-crushing job, because there is no soul left to crush.
Well, at least it crushes it for less hours a day.
