As I said, in this story I was rooting for Archer, so if something can make me go with Archer instead of just drop the story, it must be good. That doesn't mean I have to like it, though. He's working with limited information and past experience. Knowing what he does about the Grail and how far people are willing to go to achieve it, it's not a stretch for him to think "this Master must die or they will kill Shirou and Illya." The entire point is to kill your way to the Grail, and he has no assurances that character wasn't that kind of Master.
A magus raised in magus society is likelier to write his kids off as necessary sacrifices than to take the high road by sparing them after only killing their Servants.

Title: Servants who never should be summoned
Author: OverMaster among others. Uploaded by him.
Genre: Snippets. Mainly humorous ones, but there are a few more dramatic, or even baleful.
Summary: A collection of snippets from various authors where several Servants are changed for other characters, like Lobo or Taiga, to give some examples. Part of the fun is to try and guess the character.
Warnings: They are snippets, not a story per se, but I found most them funny or well written enough to make this recomendation. It may contain OOC-ness sometimes. Maybe. I don't know enough about some characters to be sure about this.
