Pity I missed the Shinji convo a few pages back.
Many of the Shinji-Shirou interactions follow the same pattern - Shinji tries to provoke Shirou and fails.
When he finally manages to get to him (by hitting Sakura), you can see the elation in Shinji's face.
That was a pretty realistic bit of toxicity.

I mean it's cool that it's there so we have a definitive answer (that it's both the thrust version, and why it didn't activate), but if I hadn't seen this now, I would've never picked up on the fact that he doesn't say the "gu" at the end, and would've never figured it was literally because he didn't call out the entire true name. It's just even weirder since they animated it to look like he was about to throw it, but it's the thrust version so iunno anymore.It was because of that?

I mean, I'm pretty sure the events actually shown in the movie override the subtitles when it comes to authority, and it couldn't be more clear that he's throwing it.
He comments about being a little far from Assassin but wants to finish him surely, that would be the thing with the causality reversal version

Casuality reversal could be thrown if target is in 4-meter radious. That's how Cu got Bazett in HA. And in subs he said "That's a bit far" or something.

I'm so glad Kajiura is back. My entrance to Fate was because of Zero and her musical atmosphere kind of set the mood for Fate (for me) and listening to her OSTs again while watching my favorite route threw me back to when I was watching Zero for the first time, it was a nostalgic feeling.
The movie was great, had a lot of fun watching it and can't wait for the next one.
I thought Cu said "it's a bit too far, but I finish it here" refer to Kirei's order about fight the other six but don't kill them. So Cu using thrown Gae Bolg to kill Hassan can be considered "a bit too far" because finishing them is not in Kirei's order
