Or she got tired of using illusion magic and actually decided to use some transmutation magic or item to age herself up and be better disguised.
Hellsing and Tsukihime? Hmmm, not really, though goddamn, Akamatsu sure is starting out with the violence up this time. Guess this time they let him make a legit shounen from the start!
... was kind of hoping his next work would be an Ala Rubra prequel, but this has Eva in a center role, so I can very much get behind this!
Hmmm.... maybe this is the A-timeline of Negima? The one when Asuna only woke up 130 years later? It isn't the timeline of the ending, since Magic was revealed to the world much sooner in that one. Roughly 195 years before this one, if my calculations are correct.
EDIT: wait, I think I just derped. Didn't Eva say she was 500 years old in the original Negima? Or didn't she?
>,< Curse my memory.

Nah but when Touta totally rearranged Tachibana's insides with that right hook of his I was immediately reminded of A Certain Magical Index.
Anyways. Here's hoping the series might potentially deal with a few questions we had regarding the unexplained hows and whys of certain events that plagued the ending of the series. Even though the likelihood of that anytime soon if any is fuck-all.

My Fanfics. Read 'em. Or not.McJon01: We all know that the real reason Archer would lose to Rider is because the events of his own Holy Grail War left him with a particular weakness toward "older sister" types.
Dear God, Akamatsu. Already back in the saddle? And with a sequel to the series you didn't finish?
Nvr5get, huh?

Spoiler:
We all know it's going to end up being different somehow though.
Gonna try to read this today and see what my thoughts are on it. I was disappointed with how Negima went off on a tangent in the last few chapters and focused on harem stuff before it ended, but if the new story is good, I'm willing to give it a fair shot.
So....
What happened to Nagi at the end again?
Nagi gets revealed as the Lifemaker and I'm like "Holy shit this is so awesome! Rawr!"
....and then the manga ends next chapter. ._.
Few days later a small whisper could be heard from my room which more or less sounded like "wut".
This doesn't necessarily mean it was Konoka. Remember, Negi is his grandfather. There's still a reasonable doubt over who eventually won that little harem war. All we know at this point is that at some point, Negi's line mixed with the Konoe.
I'm honestly curious to see what happens from here on out. There seems to be potential for a massive setting change from the fusion of the worlds. It certainly seems to be a suitable breeding ground for conflict.
What's really going to make this series are it's characters. The main pair of Touta and Eva seem very strong, and from the looks of that splash page, this cast looks pretty diverse.
Well, here's best wishes for Akamatsu's new project.

I haven't read Negima, but I'm going to follow this.
(I did read Love Hina back in the day)
don't quote me on this
Consider Gendo Ikari and Eishun Konoe. The surname is entirely nonindicative.*

I can't help but think of Touta & Eva's relationship in a romantic context.
All that anime finally got to me.
