The epilogue to Fate would probably have been changed to the scene where Ilya dies a year later; Shirou leaves Fuyuki with Rin to Association, bitter and on the road to be a hero; and he has already consciously forgotten about Saber except for that one scene.
But even Archer didn't become bitter until he died and realised it was all bullshit.

Props for the Kotomine/Rin team up, kind have wished we could have seen the two interact more. He was her mentor for 10 years or so, why did he not show up more in Unlimited Blade Works? I mean besides the focus on Shirou. At least show us a fight between the two, or is it that much of a curbstomp. I kind of wish my wild guessing was true just so we can see Rin overcome past trauma and beat up or favorite false priest .
I guess a co-op battle between them would happen in the earlier stages of the fight, but those are just snippets, not a full-blown fic. I have my hands way too full to write this.
