Just leave the events available 24/7 all year, problem solved
I would agree for the first part of Go West, but I just can't for the second. Those damn talisman... I couldn't even finish the event because it was so restrictive that I just quit and went for dailies. I still have the shop CE from Part 2 that needs to be LB, because I didn't even bother getting more than one copy because of how tiring the mechanics of that part were.
Problem is, some events have nodes with really good drop rates, which is something that they're obviously not interested in giving us.
Events will be stacked on top of each other and released on the same day. Each event would last a week minimum and increase based on how new the event is (IE: 2016 would end in a week, 2017 would end in the following week). Gives people time to do both if they are really interested but some amount of apple eating applies. At least with this, the time taken for reruns are shrunk in a way.
Until FGO goes 2020 on us with 4+ years of event to rerun.

Or we could just accept the fact that in the end we must give up on re-runs, offer the free event Servants and shop CEs through alternative ways, and offer the story in another way, like for example using a mechanic like in CG in which you use keys to watch past events you missed.
I understand that there's newcomers that appreciate this, but for those that aren't, there's a limit to how many times you can do re-runs before you start getting bored of the game. I remember how desperate we were at having a new story chapter during Onigashima, since at that point we've only had one story chapter, Guda Guda 2 and the new CCC event in between the many re-runs. Heck, we're currently having another re-run at this moment. It really sounds kinda ridiculous when in just half of this year we've only had four new stories compared to everything the other years (and yeah, not counting the mini chapters with Arthur and why genderbend Musashi). I mean, just look at this:
http://fategrandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Event_List
Just check the different years, and see how ridiculous is the current situation. I really hope this situation improves in the future. Specially since they'll eventually run out of events that they haven't done a re-run.
True, but the quality of event does improved on 2017. Bare in mind that many "events" on 2015 and early 2016 are quite blend if not crap (such as Nerofest 2015), and if man-hour is fixed, you have to reduce quantity for quality.
I understand we do need new stuff, but it seems to me their story department must be really over-drained if not used-up after 2 years of brainstorming and every event has to be better than the last one.

And you're happy with getting re-runs of events you consider bland or crap? And while I do admit some events were not as good as they could be in terms of mechanics, in terms of story some were honestly really good, Fate/Zero event was really interesting for example. Unless you're talking about mechanics, then I'm not sure how you can defend the way they did CCC event, regardless of how good the story was.
We've only gotten like 2 new events this year, heck one of them can be considered as an EoR-like chapter. That'll be a total of 3-5 new events at minimum this year if you include the customary ones. It just feels like we are in 2016 again apart from the sporadic EoR chapter.
I wonder if next year will be worse.
Something
Tried again for Lancer Artoria because I'm insane, NP2 Tristan and Saberlot
screw it
im sure the rest of the year will be EoR marathon release!

We've gotten less events even with the re-runs and it's not even like we've gotten more main story chapters either. The EoR hasn't been longer then london, america, and camelot nor as tightly packed. The new events we have gotten this year haven't been 'better' as well. With the exception of CCC (which is more EoR) all the events we've gotten are just short once a day story followed by just farming, while last year we got more of those event and also 'big ones' in between like KnK and FZ.
So no, it hasn't been a case of less quantity and more quality, but a case where DW lost both.
