In presage flower she literally stops and decides to go home after Shirou gets hit by Berserker. It's literally saying you that she isn't finding revenge as fulfilling she thought it was so she starts to change her opinion.

Fate/stay night [Heaven’s Feel] III. spring song | Fathom Events

I expected no less but it still hurts.
why tho. seems like a decent time to me.
It's 8 minutes longer than LB, enough time for a half decent epilogue and a few cameos. If anything, I expected it to be 5 mins shorter.
The part Spring song will adapt should be shorter than what LB and PF adapted so it should be fine, I am still worried about the epilogue but the rest should be well paced.
It's a fine length for a full movie, I'm just projecting my unrealistic expectations for the content since there's always paranoia of what important scene you want to see animated at risk of being put on the copping block for the sake of prioritizing the movie's creative vision. The bigger numbers merely assuage my fear of that.
I've been pretty forgiving with them cutting most of Kotomine's talks with Shirou and the like, considering they've done a pretty job adapting the route with the time constraints they have so far but
if they don't nail Death of a Saint as well as possible then what was even the point of animating this, bro
Going by their previous record with UBW, I'd be more worried about the stuff that are going to be adapted than the ones that won't make it. The 2nd half of that somehow managed to feel both rushed at points and gruelingly slow at others (like they were just purely padding to fit the scheduled runtime). Not to mention, some of those moments came off as hilariously cheesy with the emotional impact of a long wet fart.
This post is why focusing on studios is wrong. The people in charge of UBW aren't the people in charge of HF, so you can't really say UBW will happen here when Miura isn't in charge
I was actually going to add that I do have more faith for Spring Song since I like the way they handled the content of the earlier parts of HF for the most part, despite not being super faithful to the order or length of the original events. And I agree with the whole "anime quality is entirely dependent on the studio" mentality being wrong, especially with legendary studios like Gainax or Madhouse currently being a shell of their former selves.
That said, they still share a lot of the same staff including the same main scriptwriter and Miura who is doing a lot of the storyboards. If this was pre-Mirai Fukuin Ufotable though, I'd totally agree since half the people that worked on Kara no Kyoukai 1-7 have left the studio years ago. But hey, here's hoping that they stick the landing.
UBW also had the problem of being simulatenous to God Eater. While they chose to focus on UBW, screwing GE's TV airing to multiple delays (Final product was a decent show in the end, despite all the issues IMHO), being in that situation can't have been healthy for UBW's development, even if there were no delays or visual QUALITY signs of production disaster
Not gonna lie, I kinda like UBW more than the HF movies. They really should've went with a series instead of a trilogy. At least the manga is doing a proper adaptation.
People are already complaining about "nothing happening". Make it a TV show and those complaints'd be more insufferable. You gotta make peace with the fact anime audiences wouldn't react well to a proper HF adaptation and thus anime HF neeeds to be like this to not alienate most anime watchers who need stuff constantly happening before complaining about "pacing too slow" and "nothing happens"
It's what it is.
It looked like one of those horrible 60 fps anime videos on Youtube.Exactly.Quote:
Yeah, I found this really strange and I thought it was a case of bad writing. Illya in presage flower lets Berserker loose to kill Saber, Rin and Shirou and Shirou is fatally wounded. Illya goes away to her Castle and in lost butterfly she meets Shirou again as if this event didn't happen.

Where did you get this? Is it from a Mystery Dungeon game?

Wow. It's not just me.

I think it originated as an emote on Something Awful.
