we're forgetting the whole gimmick of fate on purpose
has the wait for LB6 been the longest that we have waited for a new chapter to date?
waiting for lb4 was longer I believe.
LB3 Release: November 27th, 2018, LB4 Release: June 15th, 2019. So basically 6 months and a half aprox.
LB5.2 Release: April 9th 2020, so it's been 6 months so far.
Though keep in mind that the content we had between LB3 and LB4 was terrible with reruns, dead weeks and very minor events that didn't add much content, so the wait felt even longer for some of us.
Edit: Btw, if you've seen this post changed many times, this is the last time I use an online calculator ffs. If the calculations are still wrong feel free to mention it, I've given up in trying to check if it's correct.

LB3 to LB4 was longer (204 days) if you don't include Ooku here (but I do because it's a major story event).
At the very least we'll have way less in between content probably.
There’s still Hell Mandala before LB6 right? Dealing with Douman in all his lonesome? While Muramasa teaming up with Rasputin and Koyanskaya with Beryl.
Yeah and also lb4.5 if it's a different thing (which i think it is)
what justification has DW given for this sort of delay? dont tell me it is because they are working on that other game
The second “half” of Cosmos in the Lostbelt will be as long as the first.
We should be expecting the regular planed schedule to be something like:
2020: Hell Mandala
2021: Neo New Camelot and Beast V Fun Times
2022: Amazon and Fuyuki 2 - Fire Boogaloo
This helps but DW's schedule was already pretty bad in 2019. It feels like they were already having problems, and covid was the final nail in the coffin. Some people also think that DW is trying to milk part 2 for as long as possible since Nasu is
apparently going to stop writting the story after part 2 ends but i'm not fully convinced.
And comparing fgo's situation to that of other gacha games that delt with the pandemic better with a smaller budget, COVID feels a bit like a "get out of jail for free" card.
I was expecting to get VIL in LB6 and VIR in Return of NeroFest, but now that Scathach’s Holy Grail War happened, I’m not too confident about the latter anymore.
Tanamo Vitch will get her own "chapter" like Douman. She even has her own headquarters (Nine Fox Foundation). I somewhat feel like the Beast in LB6 will end up being Merlin (Beast IV). Manaka/666 and Nero will be events like Kama/Mara and Kiara. In my opinion, these are the remaining main story chapters:
Hell World Mandala
LB6
Nine Fox Foundation
LB7
Chaldeas
Fuyuki
Just by releasing Olympus, FGO is doing better on story front than GBF in 3 years.
...Not a high bar, sure, but hey, positive thinking.
