Why is Gil unfair when Superman is literally "as powerful as he needs to be".
Like that is the actual philosophy with Superman. At least Gil is clearly defined in his abilities and capabilities.
@Knick
you've confused the writing philosophy of Superman and the character philosophy. Satoshi follows the latter, not the former. Gilgamesh is defined as apparently unbeatable, unable to be caught off guard and so smart his ego doesn't affect him be what I understand of the feedback.
Morality and power are unrelated.

@Qwerty
yes, he has. However apparently despite this, and the fact that the two established ways to defeat him are surprise and skill, no one seems to think he can be beaten.
he has 3200 units thanks to the augmentation actually, a mana pool isn't power. I've said this from the start, power levels are irrelevant.
@Kat
actually that's my point.
look guys, it works like this. Satoshi's origin masks the other two elements of his existence (dragon and fairy) as a result Gilgamesh can't perceive that he was fighting a dragon. Why this is an issue is honestly confusing.
Satoshi is Changeling: The Dreaming character?
Dragon and fairy....
WAIT!? You mean, like her!??

Real talk - what's his origin again? And what did you mean by "elements" - did you mean, [parts of a whole] or the magical attribute or something else? Because, I gotta call bullshit on the No. 2.
@Epiren
I don't know her, sorry.
A: Unification and Restoration. Normally his origin wouldn't save him but it's like whaling. By elements I mean parts of a whole.
I would advise something simpler as Origin.
Or simply not mentioning his origin at all, unless your in Knk or your name is Shirou Emiya origins don't matter.
Attribute may matter for magecraft, though.
Actually his origin is part of the plot. Merlin and company are effective if tactless.
Well there's chapter five. Looking into "canon" you guys do realize that apart from Saber and Archer none of the heroes thereby exist, not only does this shrink the world at large but it literally destroys the justification of several characters and opens up a slew of ways to defeat them along the lines of "fairies do not exist" I mean this is the greatest success at knee capping a property I've ever seen.
Cu existed, Gil existed, Iskander existed, Diamund existed, Lancelot existed, Gillas existed, Medea is arguable because the statement only refers to Medusa and Herk, the guy who plays the role of sasaki existed (he just using sasaki's name), the Hassan existed.
Literally the only ones we know didn't exist are Medusa and Herk, but even then they are still real because their legends made them real. In the nasuverse legends have power, it is really not all that odd.
@Knick
you've failed to see the problem. If they are fake it weakens the whole of the Greek pantheon of heroes, obviously none of the gods or monsters can exist that were associated with either of those two. Further even if Medea existed she can no longer be tragic, she's merely a psychopath. Which is nothing to say of the bizarre disconnect that all the Irish legends are true and the Christian god exists but nothing beyond that. Nothing truly amazing or magical is possible. It's all mundane bs and make believe. The current "canon" makes the Nasuverse a sad place where there is literally no point to the character of Shirou Emiya. Hope is pointless when the rules and statements are contradictory and the overarching situation is one where no strong heroes can exist. Fifty billion monsters can run rampant but no sane person can be a hero strong enough to beat them, no, instead we get sociopaths and psychopaths. It might as well be a Godzilla movie for all the difference the actually good characters make.
You are taking your reasoning to far.
Lets say there was a man a long time ago who was a great leader and warrior. This man was killed by an accident. Overtime a myth showed up that he was a master assassin for what he was doing. The assassin definitely did not exist, but that does not make the man not real anymore.
Also the gods definitely existed, because those are things that existed due to human belief. And there are traces of the phantasmal beasts still in the world.
A psychopath can be tragic. Look at Kirei.
What are you even saying? The "mundane BS" as you call it is the essence of what makes a Heroic Spirits. Their legends are their power. And why would you say no sane person can be a hero strong enough to beat the "fifty billion monsters" running around? I certainly wouldn't call Cu insane, or Arturia, or Iskander insane.
Calling them "sociopaths and psychopaths" is arguable. Just because a person has blood in their hands, that doesn't mean they feel nothing about the lives they took. You're being a bit judgemental with them, especially given that many of them lived in eras where it was kill or be killed. Many of them were soldiers, or had to fight and kill for a country or someone else. Would you say veterans from the two world wars that killed people are automatically sociopaths and psychopaths?
Also, are you saying that having killed other people makes these figures any less heroic? That the fact they killed others doesn't make them "real heroes"? In many cases, their bloody tales on the battlefield are why they're Heroes. Do you think someone who has to kill to save others cannot be a hero? Go watch the newest Superman.
I will remind it's pretty canonical that Superman always go for the kill when facing Darkseid. Even Superman CAN kill.
