What the hell?
Is this an April Fool's joke?
Yeah, that sounds like good ol' Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov
Better you fuck your own land rather than some no-name country across the Atlantic.

I have to tell a former mentor of mine the meteorite she and her husband keep talking about is finally here. Also, it ain't as big as wehopedexpected.
I think generally it's smarter to do a write-in but if you're wasting time (like 8 hour wait periods and other fun shenaningans) you might as well not vote. What has to be made clear is that the left wing of the democratic party has to be appeased in future elections and I'm not sure a low turnout by itself will do this. You can see by the case of Hillary that people staying home will just be spun as whatever they wish it to be.
It is painful to say but in general realigning a party to be social democratic instead of neoliberal requires quite a bit more time than the current cycle allows, and way, way, way more base work which will hopefully happen in the aftermath of the elections, as I do not expect the Bernie organizational structure to just disperse (especially with how tied they are to unions by now to allow for a more direct action approach).
Demanding realignment after one centrist failure is just arrogant, after two it starts to look like a real position, especially when you can tack on some wins in regionals to shore it up.
What I can promise you is that a moderate social democrat party is markedly different from a neoliberal party to the point where you're not gonna have to feel disgusted voting for Republicans Light anymore. If that can happen I can't tell you, but considering the alternatives I think it's clear that it needs to happen (and its not exactly a demand for world revolution, 5 of 7 G7 states have social democrat parties of significant size).
Won't be easy seeing 4 more years of Trump but I think that is better than losing hope that things can get better in your country at all.

I never thought I'd see the day where an economic indicator graph showcased exponential growth.
I was wrong.
If that doesn't ding Trump support, especially when improvements to unemployment are some of the things Dems pushed, nothing will.
Honestly, I can see Trump spinning a bad economy in a positive light for himself by positioning himself to the Left of Biden on trade, much like he did against Hillary, because of how supply chains are too reliant on China. His attempts to change such trade agreements haven't been all that effective, given that his revised NAFTA didn't get signed until January of this year due to concentrated efforts on Democrats, so any real benefits they could yield haven't had the time to show up yet.
Never mind that he's quietly supported these measures too by keeping the worst parts of these agreements, and that Democrats were pushing for more positive guarantees about environmental and labor union stuff (course why not push for this in the first place with TARP and NAFTA?), but he's on the record for trying to reform the terrible trade system we currently have.
Yeah I don’t think anyone who wasn’t already planning to vote for trump will buy that.
see in 2016 Trump was able to present himself as something of a blank canvas, nobody knew quite what he would do (god how many arguments and articles were written about how the presidency would sober him up and teach him dignity...) and therefor people could hope he would act in a manner they wished. Next election people will be judging him based on his actions
EDIT: it’s actually not that dissimilar from a fairly valid therapeutic strategy. If you don’t know what a patient wants or are trying to manage several simultaneously, just slap on a flat bland affect on and they will project onto you whatever you want.
I think Tobias' point is valid, Biden won't lose because of Trump's failure but just because he has no actual concept or will to deal with the problems that a Trump presidency caused.
He still has a near perfect approval rating among Republicans. They will show up again.
Considering that DNC is still pushing through with their plan to attract neverTrumpers, that is an issue. They're still taking for granted Sanders supporters backing Biden simply because he isn't Trump, and painting the marginal few that don't as the sole reason as to why Biden would have lost against Trump. Hell, just look at Whoopie Goldberg's interview with Bernie on The View for this.

Bro they know that strategy does not work. They have personally seen it fail and cost them one of the easiest elections in their lifetime. Stop thinking it is anything but ideological ass covering.
"you see guys we want to be center left but if we want to do our center left policies we just need to attract right wingers which is why we repeat right wing talking points"
I know its popular to think of the Democrats as incompetent but like 99% of that incompetency can be explained by the easily provable (by voting record or statements) fact that they simply do not share the ideology of most of their voting base.
