Huh. So we're expecting to see a disproportionately massive number of old people, with the younger generations having to work harder, longer, to support them and generally being too busy and likely too poor to have kids of their own.
Let's see... main causes are contraceptive use and women pursuing careers. So, behind that, it's a break from Social Conservative norms of "women at home, men at work," coupled with the tech and globalization needed to facilitate the break. This increases the size of the paid labor pool, depressing wages for everyone but increasing productivity. This lowers prices in a fair market so long as scarcity isn't an issue, but fair markets only exist when forced to via political pressure, so costs rise even as it takes two people to earn as much as one once did in terms of actual purchasing power and destroys the ability of either parent to effectively raise children as the system becomes more entrenched. Both parties must work to survive, so neither can devote their full time to raising children, reducing fertility rates.
They aren't kidding when they say we'll need to restructure societies to deal with this. This is a problem you have to head off, since it's generational, and while there's a bunch of ways to try to prevent it, all of them will get huge pushback...
"Instead it is being driven by more women in education and work, as well as greater access to contraception, leading to women choosing to have fewer children."
This isn't true across the globe, though, and it also doesn't take into account factors like salaries not catching up to the cost of living in many countries.

Justice. And no, even in the case of full-scale war, the US has nothing to fear from China's nukes. Those pieces of junk won't leave Asia. Of course, that means that those nukes might threaten other Asian countries. Given that the US is already aiding Taiwan in its missile defense, they should just give some of that aid to Japan, as well. Not sure if India even needs it, though. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm in the mood for some Cop Craft R34.
Oh hey, wb.
Seems like Kanye dropped out already. Too much of a hassle to get on the Florida ballot, it seems.
B-But Black Panther never surrenders!
Except in the face of a couple corrupt old, senile white men with wealth, power, privilege, and the support of corrupt institutions.
Hmmmm...
something mildly amusing is happening on twitter it seems. big accounts are getting hacked in a bitcoin scam.
It's not a bad thing. The world clearly cannot handle 10 billion souls... either that or people simply don't bother handling that many. We can feed that many, yet many still go hungry and we're on our way to get more despite the fact we pretty much destroy spoiled food that could've been sent their way.
Clearly our logistics aren't significantly able to supply them... or we just don't want to. Either way, it's a good thing that there are less people since it means less room for rich bastards to have starving people out there.
Uruguay and New Zealand could... then again, those countries are barely 5M strong. China is literally 1.5B strong. Of course they wouldn't be able to extinguish it.
