the backgrounds in this game are really underappreciated

Not really, I do appreciate them. Every time we get a new stage, I always wish that if we get a fighting game in the future, that they use those backgrounds as stages. Of course with the amazing music this game has.
My phone almost always slows down or crashes for a few minutes when the prettier backgrounds show up, so i'm always too busy having a mental breakdown to appreciate them
I think an FGO fighting game would be good with a “balanced mode” where characters are tuned to be “equally” viable and an “unbalanced mode” where they’re deliberately at different levels of strength based on lore. Alternately, the stronger characters could simply have a ridiculous execution barrier, which they somewhat attempted to do with Gilgamesh in Codes
I think EMIYA was also pretty top tier too for what I recall. There was nothing you could do once he summoned his Reality Marble.
Or, you know, infinite suplex Luvia too.
Background-kun puts in just as much hard work as sprite-kun
5 months. 5 months to raise Kagekiyo to Bond 10, because someone was very sadistic and made her require 400K Bond in two of her Bond levels.
So yeah, I'm done with her, next is Barghest. Her Bond CE is in my Extra slot.
I don't really agree on the good VN part, but.
I think one thing to consider is that other games like Genshin or Granblue have a massive advantage in the limited and very light and sparse storytelling that's one step above a wikipedia summary of an actual story.
Voice acting. Voice acting inflects, implies and gives a lot more character, and elements in not just well, individual characters but the events themselves imo. For something like a mobile gacha game, voice acting can carry really hard and FGO would be able to get more mileage whether its good or not if they had proper voice acting for all the story scenes.
Eh.
change the gacha music to hype one, like in uma musume and that's +0.5 point from me towards to a good game
You're right about the power of voice acting but with all the dialogue FGO has, adding voice acting to all of it, even if it's just main story and not events, would lead to a pretty hefty filesize for a mobile game. I haven't played Genshin or GBF but my understanding is they have significalty less dialogue.
They do, but they have fully voiced events every month, voiced interludes with every character/version of a character having them on release, and they generally release 2-4 characters a month.
Its a lot of voice acting.
I already read the "fully voiced" argument in other places and it never, never convinced me. I vastly prefer to imagine character voices while I'm reading. Just like I did it for Tsukihime, for FSN and for Mahoyo.
Yeah, but an actual VN is very different in content and presentation than a gacha game.
I'd agree with a book or a VN, or say that a lack of voices is more than fine. However I'd also point to VNs that are definitely elevated by fantastic performances.
I can think of Yukino Satsuki for Higurashi, and Oohara Sayaka for Umineko for sure as examples off the top of my head.
