You'll get an event summon and you will like it.
The recent GBF event reminds me of... several events in the Elder Scrolls series... And how hilariously they ended:
The Mages Guild tried to ban necromancy to please the Muggles and was justly punished by imploding into the Synod and College of Whispers.
House Hlaalu banned slavery to please the Empire and was justly punished by having their Great House title removed.
Astrid was justly punished for trying to break away from the Dark Brotherhood's traditional Night Mother worship.
It is only natural for pro-Empire jarls to be justly punished for agreeing with the White Gold Concordat's Talos ban.
I failed to get Santa Nemo or Kotatsu Mirin with my measly 40 rolls and I'm here to whine about it.
Gacha is bad civilisation.
I saved up enough gems and tickets to get a full sparking roll for SSR Mirin. Got 3 Sariels, 2 Nemone, 2 Mirin, Grand Rosetta, and Grand Noa, plus some other stuff. In the end, I just decided to spark for The Rat(TM) since it's her last banner for a year.
First time saving up this much in GBF, and damn. Compared to the lackluster shit I got after saving 700 SQ for Eresh's banner (FGO NA), Cygames feels like a breath of fresh air.
Hate you. But congrats.
I've never managed to actually save a whole spark, the only time I successfully sparked was when Anniversary roulette discounted 2/3rds of it.
A few years back one of my guildmates managed a spark from the fucking gachapin. I think it was even during legfest. It was insane. I couldn’t even find it in me to be jealous because I was too flabbergasted at the the sheer statistical unlikelihood of it all.
Oh, the Demon Slayer event has auto-class-unlocks. That's motivation enough. Also, am I reading this wrong, or is Demon Slayer Corps 4 characters in 1?
Yup, all the gang plus Nezuko rolled into one so we can get both Flame and Butterfly pillars as single units. I'm really curious as to what element they're gonna be (though going by the Nichirin Sword's description, it's just Water Katana for Tanjiro).
I'm expecting melee proficiency as well, due to Inosuke and Nezuko.
Realizing that there's a suptix. :)
Realizing that Mireille is not available in it. :(
... Also, I'm just at the beginning, but are you saying that Vampy, Veight, or even Illnott are not part of this event? Missed opportunity is an understatement. Even more so than Olivia and Azazel not being in the Paradise Lost events.
Why would they be, they're vampires, not demons. And they're barely even allergic to sunlight, unlike demons.
Also why would you expect Mireille to be on this suptix, it's not even been a month since the event.
You realize that the demon in KnY are essentially just vampires with some slight differences, such as weakness to wisteria, instead of weakness to garlic? The irony of not-quite-vampires being more photosensitive than actual vampires? Of course, Illnott the vampire enthusiast also dislikes sunlight, as a personal preference.
That second one was just wishful thinking.
They're literally nothing like vampires except for their shared weakness to the sun. They don't drink blood, they aren't undead, they don't transform into wolves or bats, they don't control people, they're not burned by religious symbols, they have no problems crossing running water...
1. No, they eat flesh, which includes drinking blood. And there are some who can subsist purely on blood.
2. You sure about that? They're clearly ageless.
3. Some do transform into things. And not all vampires can do that either.
4. Michael Jackson can make thralls. As for the rest, blood powers are kind of a mixed bag, depending on the individual.
5. Again, a lot of modern vampire stories don't do that either. Fuck. There are at least a couple of vampires that make their lairs in churches.
6. Again, a lot of modern vampire stories don't do that either. Even Smiling Jack bathes... Sometimes.
I mean, if you pick and choose you can probably find enough different vampire stories to match everything, but the point remains they're nothing like the "traditional" vampires of Stocker fame. And no, they're not undead, despite being immortal; the fact that poison affects them at all showcases that they still have a beating heart (or analogue) carrying blood (or analogue) through their body. They also need air to breathe, as I recall. So yes, they're alive, in their own way.
Oh, here is an example of a flesh-eating vampire: https://vtmb.fandom.com/wiki/Pisha Wait, did you just imply that Bram Stoker invented vampires? I'm pretty sure that there were plenty of other instances before. Ironically, a common "modern" vampire trait is sun damage (though, with Skyrim and GBF, even that's being toned down), despite the fact that sun damage never killed any vampire in Bram Stoker's book. IIRC, the first instance of lethal sun damage was Nosferatu, and even then that was sunlight focused via magic (which, as children with magnifying glasses learned, is lethal to anything). Well, before Skyrim, the other strains of common and player vampires were immune to disease and paralysis: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Vampirism while only master vampire bosses were also immune to poison and sun damage: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Vampire_Ancient probably to prevent cheap players from exploiting those weaknesses to make nominally difficult boss fights extremely easy.
Strangely, I know of an instance where even a mummy was effected by hallucinogenic dust: http://aqwwiki.wikidot.com/zhoom-s-quests#5 but that's a bit ridiculous even for me. As for air, that kind of balances out with the running water thing. Going through water is fine, but staying in it will cause damage, thereby replacing the "drowning" effect of the living. Also, while they can make the motion of breathing, do they really need air? For example, the head of that first demon was perfectly functional, even after being beheaded by Nezuko's kick, despite being separated from his lungs (and other organs). In terms of disease, while no diseases directly affect vampires, feeding on diseased blood may cause a vomitus reaction, depending on the details.
Is the words "Merry Christmas" that triggering that Cygames feels the need to change it to "happy holidays"? To say nothing of a "holiday tree", despite the fact that Santa Claus is just a shortened form of the Dutch name for St. Nicholas.
Hey, all sorts of things cause problems. I mean, there are literally actual people who protest the racist depictions of orcs in geek media, there WILL be someone who’ll lose their shit over the words Merry Christmas in GBF.
on a side note, I’ve been logging in to get the free rolls, and started playing again. Send help. And maybe $20 and and a bucket of live anchovies covered in tomato sauce.Don’t question it, just do it.Don’t do it, but also don’t question it anyway.
