Hit credits. Overall the game was amazing. Fun fights (for the most part, Fuck You Hellhouse/Arsenal/Daddy Whisper), gorgeous graphics (Except chapter 15's skybox, oof), good writing and characters. Even if half the last chapter really needed a bit more explanation about where they actually were.
9/10, lost points for skybox and not having a real conclusion, just "The adventure continues".
Aside: Rufus is so fucking cool, why can't he be the main villain instead of overcompensating sword boy?
The FREE TRIAL EXTENDED TO LEVEL 60!
Okay, now that the dust has settled on the FF16 reveal I felt like trying to sum up everything that can be observed and inferred from the trailer.

Monocle on, Analysis GO!!!
Of course this all could be a waste of time if the game takes twenty years to come out and changes fifteen different times during development. :roman:
The fact that the hero uses fire wings in his attack strings makes me think that he's somehow gained the power of the phoenix, maybe by being so close to him when he manifested. I'm thinking that he and the others in the tattoo group are basically some kind of convict squad in the war and that's why they have to follow orders, and he's there because he's basically walking proof of heresy by having that power. Of course a few hours into the game we'll probably lean that he can absorb power from any summon so the moveset gets to expand.
You can see him using Titan's fists at one point too. His powers seem really cool, I hope his character is too.
I think we are safe here for the most part, since Yoshida is going to be the producer, and they are getting the writer who did Shadowbringers on board(why it seems they are going with a darker tinge but this time unlike with XV, if Shadowbringers has shown anything they'll likely keep to that tone), along with the fact they poached a dude who worked for the battle choreography for DMC5 (which is why the camera positioning and execution of the moves seems reminiscent of DMC).
Seems they want to hit every note as hard as they can, so I think instead of immediately being guarded here, its alright to be optimistic.
If any of y'all are like me and get curious as to how it'll sound in JPN well...

So they literally say Dragon Knight instead of Dragoon. The MC seems like the same VA as Noctis.
The Director and the Producer give their thoughts on the game so far...
So no new news until sometime in 2021 sadly. T_T
My guess is this lands 2022, and the VII.2 comes 2024.
If nothing else, watching the trailer for FF16 has got me itching to go back and play the re-releases of older FF games that I bought some time ago. I haven't had a try at FF12 - Zodiac Age or FF10 HD...not to mention I haven't even touched RE:7 yet.
So many games, so little time. @_@
A few extra details can be gleamed from the JPN version of the trailer which this video breaks down, even if I'm not 100% convinced by the conclusions the creator drew from it.

On a side note, my bias for music bleeds through and I'd like to share this awesome video which breaks down the music used in the trailer as well as the high probability of Soken returning for FFXVI's soundtrack. :o

An interesting attempt to poll opinions on FFVII Remake, achieving 14455 respondants.
Yeah sounds about right. I'm in that second group of FF players but not 7, and I gave the game a 9/10. It would probably have been my game of the year if 13 Sentinels hadn't come out of nowhere and crushed everything. I also prefer Aerith to Tifa like the others in my group too, although if Jesse shows up again maybe she'd win.
Introducing the world and characters of Final Fantasy XVI

Clive, Joshua and Jill...surprisingly normal names by Final Fantasy standards. :roman:
Not one named after a meteorological phenomenon. What is the world coming to.
"Square Enix trademarks Ever Crisis, The First Soldier, and Shinra logo in Japan"
Huh, more FFVII? Not sure what to think personally. :/
I've heard speculation that Ever Crisis is the followup to the Zack plotline from Remake. Plus it lets the next game be Final Crisis.
