Y'know, just this once I won't complain about being mistaken for a kid as today I managed to get a children's bus ticket which is half the price of an adult one.

I really wish black1blade would stop being such a fucking scrub and actually concentrate on past papers so I don't get Bs.

On these past papers that is. Now lets see how well I can do in the a French reading- my strongest subject -_-
B is a fine grade. You can go far with Bs.
Good luck on your french stuff, but also asterism is right. B's are still a good mark, don't beat yourself up too much over them.
I know I can get A*s and shit though. I'm just not concentrating on these past papers enough and screwing up stupid things. I need to put quite a bit of work in to get those A*s though I mean I could coast and get As and Bs in everything but I think I'm capable of getting like 5 A*s (already got my maths) so why not right. What's even more frustrating with these maths past papers I am screwing up is that I know I can do better. In mocks I did way earlier in the year, I got 90% on the core 1 maths and 85% on stats 1. You only need an average of 80% overall to get an A (which is the highest you can get at AS) but in some papers I did in class recently, I got 74% in the core 1 and 61% in the s1. Did a proper core 2 mock in the exam hall and everything so hopefully that went well, I tend to do better in an exam setting but man if I get less than 80% I'm going to be pissed with myself.
Good luck, though as mentioned before Bs are still fine

I mean I didn't generally settle for Bs either but still
Bs are the B's Knees
alright, let me level with you for a second here
i know how it is to be very self-critical about this kind of thing. i used to beat myself up for it too, and there's a lot of people who put pressure on the idea that A's are the only grade that matters (this may be different in UK but it's certainly true in USA). it's super easy and understandable to slip into the mindset of "i know i can do better".
But the thing is, in ten years, nobody (including you) will care about the difference between those A's and B's. Unless you're aiming for A's because the university you want to get into is extremely selective, or you need to maintain a scholarship that has high academic demands, a lot of times the difference between an A and a B is misappropriated energy. I know it's hard to let go of that when you are capable of achieving higher and expect more of yourself, but at the end of the day it's worth it to maybe get a few B's and spend the extra time enjoying your life.
