Best RPG since Planescape: Torment, as far as I am concerned.
I originally came here to check out the progress on the then-unfinished F/HA translation patch. As it turns out, this place is quite cozy and the community, welcoming. I've always been a fan of the...
Let me have this, damn it
Next thing you know, someone will announce an official translation of Tokimeki Memorial. Maybe Sayonara O Oshiete, too.
I mean, official translations of Fullmetal Demon Muramasa and Mahoyo in such...
Cross Channel only has two translations. The George Henry Shaft version is just the ramblings of a mad man.
It happened before (just look at School Days), but it was never all that common, and I doubt it would happen with a high-profile release such as this one.
On the bright side, Switch emulation is coming along well.
Ok, it's real now.
I have no idea who sacrificed a baby to some eldritch deity to make this happen, but I owe them a beer.
Best part of this is, now I can actually dream about an official...
Oh, that's reassuring. Thanks!
...OH. Well, fingers crossed, then. At least Lumina is a fighting game; one'd think (hope) they'd treat Mahoyo with a little more care.
You mean, the translation was bad, but then improved with time? I now realize my original post was misleading (I'll edit it); I was specifically talking about the team that translates F/GO.
Genuine question, is the team that translates GO any good? I hate gacha, so I never got anywhere near it.
I still refuse to believe this is real.
I genuinely didn't think this was ever going to happen in Nasu's lifetime.
I voted that there is no canon because it allows me to pretend FGO does not exist with a modicum of objectivity. If canon is relative, my headcanon is at least as valid as anyone else's.
And that...
They animated the Last Episode and decided it would be a good idea to only air it inside the museum.
It hurt. So, so much. And they clearly don't care.
I am going to take this opportunity to recommend a movie I appreciate: The Three Treasures, one of Hiroshi Inagaki's underappreciated works. While by no means 100% accurate when it comes to the...
God of War is definitely NOT a work that could make that claim XD I am talking about historically-informed works that attempt to faithfully portray the mythology of a particular culture, since we are...
I was barely into high school when the remake was originally announced.
I am now way past college and we still have NOTHING.
It hurts
Yeah, I've seen some Mahoyo scenes and they are absolutely gorgeous. Sometimes I prefer to reamin optimistic, and go on my merry way thinking that Tsuki R will be released, and it will be even more...
I mean, wasn't Mahoyo also TM's last real VN? Saying it "peaked" with Mahoyo implies it was never as good again, which, well... is only true because there was nothing after that.
Who knows, maybe...
Thanks! Yeah, so I believe I did get to the America chapter. I will take a look at the animated adaptations, but it is looking more and more like F/GO and I simply don't mix. Maybe I will have to...
I believe I got that far - was it already out around 2018? That's when I started - and stopped - playing.
I am cautiously optimistic. The past few years have taught me to not expect too much from modern CRPGs, especially the ones that try to build up too much hype. Of the whole lot, two were really good...
I always get lost when people start talking about Grand/Order.
Is there a reliable cliffsnotes version of G/O's story anywhere? I can't stomach gacha games, and even just "watching" the story...
I'm aware of that. From what I've heard, though, she is a deuteragonist, with Aoko and Sojuro as the protagonists whose thoughts we actually have access to. Am I incorrect in thinking that?
I ask...
What, that most people would not enjoy it? Or are you referring to the "exercise in masochism" part?
I mean, I unfortunately do not speak japanese (yet). I don't speak French either, since I...
