Really depends on how old the family is, what their speciality is, how good the individual mage is, and never forget that with enough prana you can work miracles anyway even if you have no idea what you are doing.

I apologize for continuing the derail, but I just came back from work, watched Obama's DNC speech replayed and then Comedy Central while getting absolutely wasted, only to read the ridiculous stuff being said on this thread. Now, things are a little blurry (both in my sight and my mind), but I can't believe that one of my stalwart allies on the Sakura front, Altima, is getting things so wrong here.

Sakura was not possessed. She was influenced. She was rid of her inhibitions (like me right now otherwise I wouldn't dream of telling off Altima). She lost the fundamental things that made her human, rationality. However, she was not possessed. I don't really understand where you got that. She was contaminated, but AM did not possess her. She was just unable to keep her repressed feelings repressed.

I dislike/hate a lot of things, even things about my closest friends. Everyone does. What makes me human is that I can ignore those things, be tactful, and behave as a normal person would behave in society, not once dreaming of hurting or murdering them (like my former college flatmate who micro-managed every single thing about our place). Sakura lost that. Her negative feelings were amplified beyond her control. Eventually, it became a kind of freedom because she had repressed a lot of really horrible things to the point that it was a wonder that she was such a nice and gentle person at all. She had a really strong will, and that was ripped from her. The result was Dark Sakura. It had nothing to do with possession or anything of the sort.

Okay, I'm not really that good at reading blurry kanji (I'm slightly/greatly intoxicated at the moment), but it seems to me that it's just saying that Caster cannot perform a Reality Marble because the precise construction of both small-scale and large-scale magecraft are different from her superior magical ability. And that she might be able to do it but it would take time to do it because it's still something complex.
