Ehh, as far as line cuts go, I couldn't really remember if it as totally instant vs Araya/Roa/Nrvnqsr.

I remember Roa being line cutted up easy enough. Same with Nrvnqsr's arm. But Araya's arm was cut up in all manners of ways.

But yeah, your probably right a line cutted to shit Saber would probably die right there without being able to cheat her way into Avalon cuz age.

Ah, wait you can't really heal your soul being deported to the Root. I mean, MEoDP doesn't really do a physical damage with a dotstab.

It's a hard question. Because the thing with Arthur, is that he's remembered (all heroes are), and that he's considered alive (this is different).

I mean, the guy who's worshipped has a defining characteristic which is being alive and Avalon is sort of the crystallization of that legend

That's why I was thinking that if you removed the origin of the legend (Saber) a new HS would pop out of that legend anyway? And it would be alive?

Thank you. I knew Saber was going to die but when trying to rationalize it I couldn't do it clearly and got confused with my own thoughts (not to mention I kept going 'what if').

I think I got bogged down on the idea that Avalon might be able to stop the soul sending somehow.

But you can kill stuff on different levels. Like Shiki can dotstab a Nero beast, but he can dotstab the world too. It could be a different thing to kill the worldly Saber than to kill the eternal Saber. Or something.

You would have to be able to see the death of a planet to kill either, so good example. I'd say both are about as possible though.

Could something happen after the world dies that even Magic is effected or something?

Oh I guess a loophole is that it WAS out of the realm of the second UNTIL the planet died and Avalon died.

maybe contrary to merlin's thoughts, avalon survives the death of the planet somehow (in the collective memory of posthumanity, or in the brain of a neutral observer, or in the heart of takeuchi, or who knows)

I thought this scenario was Saber activating Avalon after being attacked by the MEoDP, not being attacked in Avalon? Why would Saber be more deathless than Super Duper Arc, exactly?

I might have misread it, but the way I read it is what would have happened if saber was dotstabbed in avalon, but to be fair, I was only idly skimming the whats new tab when I saw the conversation go by.

Its as Mcjon said. My question was something like 'What happens if Saber gets dotstabbed/17 dissection'd and because of mystery/age is able to survive long enough to go into Avalon afterwords, what happens'. Mcjon said 17 dissection scenario would be instant death like how Roa instantly got his legs cut off and Nrvnqsr got his arm cut off but unlike Araya's buddha arm. He then ran away not wanting to even touch the other part of the question :P

aldeayeah says she dies. Hidari was like uhh she gets to Avalon after she dies even if its as a corpse. arai said this sounds like the whole 'Avalon will last until the planet dies' thing from GoA.

And going from that, since drawing Caliburn granted her an unchanging body (GoA tl actually says "immortal") would she have higher level lines of death like the Sarira, being 'the concept of longevity given form' on someone who, taking the phrase literally, has no natural end?

I guess the question also works if we replace Caliburn with Avalon, with less hassle needed to make the distinction between immortalbecausenoaging and immortalbecausesuperhealing. Actually let's go with that. DOES AVALON-HOLDING SABER GIVE SHIKI MORE TROUBLE IN SEEING LINES OF DEATH Y/N
