Although Heroic Spirits are beings that have powerful prana, the amount of prana which is imbued from a human’s Master Degree after all is miniscule if I speak about percentages, and Heroic Spirits can’t operate without a bit of this prana.
Either way doesn't this mean all Servants are kinda like Saber?
They use the prana they get from their master to burn a giant pool they have.
How else would you make sense of this?

Well we do have Rin!Saber but then again she and shirou never really had a proper contract to begin with so....there was also Gil who changed Masters and did get a decrease in stats but that seemed to be just because Kirei was a crappy magus.

Yeah, it's why Shirō's such a bad Master for Saber. Hasn't gone through the proper qualifications. Rin's genius let her get her MA early, and Ilya picked up her degree from a certain obscure German university.

The game says that for servants who aren't Saber, the amount of magical energy you give to the Servant is minuscule in comparison to their total, but still lets them work?

Master is the physical anchor, without which most fade pretty quickly unless they have certain skills.
What if they went to a trade school? Can any sufficiently skilled laborer qualify as a master? What if they dropped out? We need this answered in the next Q&A.
