But yeah, so far we've actually had pretty poor examples of any concept that Archers aren't that strong and hence stick to long range. Aside from Green Archer I guess.

I know. I am well aware. Hence why I included actual content in my post. The statement made about how EMIYA seems a bit above average in terms of the actual Strength of Archers is basically unfounded.
Emiya's a four star anf Arash is a two.
So Emiyavis obviously two times as strong as Arash
So the strength of the archer class is measured less by naked skill and more by the quality of their NP? Then Gil is unbeatable in that regard. But what makes Gil lose and EMIYA win, imo, is what the VN describes as an archer mindset, and how Shiro and Archer embody it, in a sense. Gil's ego is to big to disregard himself even for a moment, and he relies on swordspam rather the noble archerly ideals. Mathematically that's the better approach, but since ideals are such a big theme in F/SN, his inability to actually be an archer in a psychological sense is shown to be his downfall. At least that's what I gather at this moment from the discussion and the VN.
Also, he doesn't have the throughout understanding and respect for all the NP's in GoB, the kind of thing someone like Saber and Lancer have due to their strong connection and association to their respective weapons. The only NP's he has a deep connection with are the ones everybody wants to avoid him pulling, since him using them at full force is an instant curb stomp. While he just owns every NP, he doesn't regard them individually, which possibly equates them to EMIYA's RM, since he studied and understood every weapon to make it in the first place.
Also, a question: does the fact that Shirou 'synced' with Archer in terms of skill UBW mean that from that point onward, they have a shared bank of weapons? Or does each of them have an unique instance of UBW and Shirou's instant mastery was a one-time, temporary thing?

Well he doesn't have a normal body because he can keep up internal BL indefinitely,but if he stops deploying it then he can't be chaos anymore. Since he was a DA before becoming Chaos, he should revert back to that previous form.
