    Probably not. ^read above

year 0 also doesn't coincide with the death of Christ, but his birth.

The decline had already started in Gilgamesh's days.

There's some other hints like how Arash served the last king of the Age of Gods in his region.
Yeah, Arash having no fixed date on him IRL helps immensely there.

    yeah

Honestly not sure. Maybe CCC really meant that c. 0 CE was a hard rule.

FGO confirms that it's already over by year 60.

I feel like it would have already been over by Alex's time though.

Problems start showing up if you try to fit "purely historical" figures into myth

    yes.

Well we have time frames for the historical figures. Like Alex.

and not that this has any bearing on Nasuverse but there are speculative chronologies like this: http://www.personal.utulsa.edu/~marc...tory/clam.html

The conclusion to Odysseus' life pretty much ended the Age of Heroes in Greece. I like to think that this is when the Age of Gods ended for them, too. It would also be before what we conventionally consider "ancient Greece."

But of course, you can place mythological events at any point before recorded history starts giving too many details to fill in the blanks.

Eh, regression is all about recreating old mysteries, nothing more. Someone that can recreate the mysteries the gods did in the Age of Gods will have regression. On the other hand, if that person is able to use powers that weren't in the AoG then those wouldn't be accounted as regression even if they are greater in scale or more powerful (i.e pole shifts didn't happen in AoG so rank doesn't account them).
The priest was waiting for the arrival of the princess, who was only an enemy of all of them.
For the priest, the golden princess was the one and only main heroine.

how do you know they didn't happen in the AoG?

like literally the only thing we have about regression is:

Q: What do the Quality/Quantity/Composition of Regression to the Age of Gods mean in Beowulf's profile? Do Ploys, Arcueid, and Heroic Spirits have such designations? And what would their number be?
A: Regression to the Age of Gods represents the extend at which they are capable of reproducing the Mysteries that existed on Earth before True Magic. Consider it to be like that, their own style of Magical Circuits. Quality represents "how distant from what humans are capable of" their pure Mysteries are. Quantity represents power. The higher the quantity, the greater the degree of influence over the surrounding environment. Since Beowulf only has a quantity of C, he can only display his power to an individual, or over a village.
Composition represents the era of the "Mystery". In terms of magecraft, it would be like Rune, Kabbalah, Black Magic and such.
Ploys are not of Age of Gods, so they cannot be assigned a number in Regression to the Age of Gods.
For Arcueid... Princess Arcueid should qualify. "Quality: B Quantity: A++ Composition: Before Common Era, pseudo-deified natural phenomenon"

However, yeah just me being confused. Attila, Siegfried, and Kriemhild can be from a different time and Brynhildr is just randomly in 1 AD for some destruction reason.

So i'm thinking origin or like something to do with Planet Emblem and Gaia or Alaya or the Planet or something that's going to be really really really revelation-y that's going to make Super Excalibur look reasonable.

The world would have been destroyed? I mean a pole shift has wiped out all mana off the world in at least two universes. It's kinda unlikely a cataclysmic event occurred.

not in tsuki no sango tho.

An early mention of a shifting of the Earth's axis can be found in an 1872 article entitled "Chronologie historique des Mexicains"[7] by Charles Étienne Brasseur de Bourbourg, a specialist in Mesoamerican codices who interpreted ancient Mexican myths as evidence for four periods of global cataclysms that had begun around 10,500 BCE. In 1948, Hugh Auchincloss Brown, an electrical engineer, advanced a hypothesis of catastrophic pole shift. Brown also argued that accumulation of ice at the poles caused recurring tipping of the axis, identifying cycles of approximately seven millennia.[8][9]
if it's good for wikipedia it's probably good enough for Nasu as well.
