None of that has anything to do with him being a CG, just the perks of having become a HS.you know, the one that has been mentioned in this forum a few times? the one that lets archer put people that are stronger than prime shirou to shame by jumping across skyscrapers? the one that lets him have enough mana to use UBW by himself, which shirou could never do? the one that lets him project a lot of weapons when shirou can't even pull 10 projections in one fight by himself? the one that gets brought up when nasu says prime shirou=prime kiritsugu?
And Shirou could eventually externally deploy UBW, it's just that without the experience leeching he got from Archer, he'd likely never have learned how to in his lifetime.

But then he counters Archer's sword spam after Archer deploys UBW.doesn't shirou say when fighting kuzuki that he only has 2 or 3 more projections in him?

Yeah I know, I mixed up Kuzuki and Kotomine again.
1- kind of mentioning the kiritsugu=prime shirou without CG boost and the "i will give you my life in death, so i would like my payment now" line we saw archer say in the flashback shirou leeched off of him
2- shirou has leeched all the experience he needs by the end of UBW and he states and Rin agrees that with his mana levels, he can't do it by himself
3- not in that sense. Angra shirou knows that he is good at making swords. that is not the issue at hand. the issue is that he is surprised that he can make those specific blades so many times and so fast given his mana levels and that is the justification he gives

actually IIRC there was a really old line somewhere about how nasu mentioned ten years after fate shirou would learn to manifest the UBW, and another 10 after that he would master it.
who is Angra Shirou. Is this some new edgy OC come to replace Kotomine Shirou since there's already a Kotomine Shirou?

He got the strength to save some people then, sure, but he wasn't as powerful alive as he would be when summoned as a CG. Heck, he was weaker alive than when he's summoned in F/SN.

there's no hard limit on mana as a magus. That's why there's no point in mathing it.

let us compare the ammount of mana you need to use for a RM and the ammount you need to use an EX rank NP, shall we?
because mages use mana to compensate if they arent very good at something or operating outside their area of expertise. Shirou will learn to use the UBW by becoming more skilled with it, reducing the mana he has to pump into it in order to manfest the RM.
In UBW, Shirou has learned the bare essentials of what is needed to summon his reality marble, however due to his inexperience, he needs access to a huge supply of prana order to compensate for that inexperience. with practice, that problem will resolve itself.
Then what's the problem with him using it in the HGW? The whole dolphin scene with Rin gave him access to the mana he'd need to use UBW.
