I do wonder what rank A would be like, though, if it exists. When the man widely considered the greatest military commander in history only has rank B...
Maybe you have to be a commander in huge sci-fi star wars or something
Obviously saving it for Heroic Spirit Uesugi Kenshin for that Nippon Banzai wank
Localizationing stuff
Isn't Subotai considered one of the greatest generals who ever lived? Maybe he'd make it.
Read somewhere that Iskandar's rank is only B because while he conquered all across the world, most of his kingdom fell apart soon after he died. Not sure how reliable this is (kingdoms falling apart after death sounds rather more like a leadership issue then tactics per-se) but if so then Genghis could easily have it at rank A, given he not only conquered tons but established a civilization which lasted centuries after his death.
Didn't Genghis' empire fragment into four separate empires extremely quickly and then most of those empires also fell before too much longer? And I know the Yuan dynasty and the Golden Horde were very unpopular.
I think sounds more like something Charisma would cover
And, uh, you can't lead if you're dead.
This is also true for Alexander.given he not only conquered tons but established a civilization which lasted centuries after his death.
Don't forget they are separated by almost a millennium. It makes sense that we're going to see more visible effects of the Mongol Empire than ancient Greece.

the Mongol Empire was at its peak after Genghis died, yeah. But then it ended up being separate states, the rest is history.
Genghis planned for that separation. Kinda like each of his sons (he has 4) were given an area to rule, and amongst the four one of them would be the Great Khan of the Mongol Empire (his 3rd son Ogedei). Because one person ruling his entire Mongol Empire is physically impossible.
And the Mongol Empire certainly last longer and was more prosperous than Alexander's empire/dynasty. At least there were 15 Great Khans.

I don't think Military Tactics have anything to do with how long said person's dynasty last.
Swimsuit Scathach does it for her NP.
