The point is that they aren't yet, so we have no explanation, so you're not supposed to wrap your head around anything, because there is nothing.

It's not like you have to figure Prototype versions of characters are all just younger versions of themselves. Look at that, Arash and Bryn, you're younger versions of yourself! Isn't that...interesting?

i bet its gonna be that prototype servants are the in-universe fictional account versions of themselves and that all of the prototype related material is in fact a fictional story within the nasuverse which is why manaka is so awesome because it's all being written by ayaka

I don't get why you're still trying to push this. Just think that Proto Cu in FGO is a young FSN Cu with appearance shared by the Cu from Prototype. That doesn't mean Proto Gil in FGO will be the young FSN Gil. Same for Proto Arthur, unless you want to believe Uther was a clownfish.

MHX came from the Servant Universe, so it's possible to just make up a Proto Universe where Proto Gil and Proto Arthur come from.

There's no real conflict, though? It would just mean that this Servant incarnation of Cu got summoned to Prototype, instead of the more mature FSN Cu.

So from my reading of Bedi's profile, it says that while he did a lot more compared to all of the other Knights of the Round Table, his feats were nowhere near as impressive as their's. So would it have likely gone something like this in Bedi's daily life?

Lancelot: I slew a dragon.

Is there a problem I'm not seeing about Proto Gil being a younger version of Gilgamesh? Because it seems like a perfectly reasonable hypothesis to me.
